Humber DL, Fukudome DFA, Bruney recalled
This also tells me Stewart is being made a starter.

All good moves, except I might have wanted a non-Bruney reliever

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) Aside from being outspoken, Ozzie Guillen is well respected throughout baseball. Who is on all the TV shows during the postseason? Ozzie Guillen is one of the top five managers in baseball.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 11:10 PM) Sooooo, why is it not ok to hate Lebron anymore? He was the one who guaranteed seven rings or whatever it was. Now all is forgotten because he got one? f*** outta here... I'm with this. So for one season, he finally justified his stupid ass nicknames? Unless he wins his eight rings like he said, he still fails, because he said it. Also, this Finals told me Wade is close to done.

Unless he gets seven more, he's still a failure to me. I can't stand him.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) LeBron earned this one, but it sure irks me as a Bulls fan that we didn't even get a crack at Miami and we likely won't get a legitimate shot at them next year either. THIS.

Lol, BS call on Wade, but since he's the lord of begging refs for calls, I'm cool with it.

Think of this way. We either have to deal with more LeBron love than usual...or we get to relish in his absolute collapse. Wilt was the first player to lose a 3-1 series lead, so it can happen.

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) You had to wear it, DeAza, but your pitchers should have retaliated for you. It's bulls*** to let the Cubs nearly end Paulie's career and hit DeAza. The fact the Sox weren't still so pissed about Paulie to win the series tells me a lot about this team. It's going nowhere. Great great post. Pitching Stewart was an insult to every Sox fan alive. ANYBODY BUT ZACH is my motto. That was not even close to ending Paulie's career.

For the current Bulls, Noah would fill the Rodman role in that he's versatile (and good) defensively, hustles, and grabs boards. Rose fills the Jordan role. The problem si there's no Pippen or Kukoc to take pressure off of Rose with shot creating. Obviously, that was not saying that Noah is Rodman or Rose is Jordan, just their roles, for anyone who wants to freak out about it. But anyone that wants to talk about how valuable Deng is, lets remember that he wasn't this current iteration of Deng until Thibs showed up. The old Deng is basically gone, he doesn't slash nearly as much and doesn't have the lethal midrange shot anymore. But, he became a better three point shooter and defender. I think that's a result of Thibs, so I think Thibs could do that with Barnes, though Barnes will most likely be taken by Cleveland, since Washington will probably take Beal now. Meanwhile, Noah's are incredibly rare, because he is the perfect center for Rose. He can run the floor with Rose, pass, hustles, etc.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) My god. How can you say that about a WS winning manager. He was a great character too. He left that cheapskate bastard Comiskey and his name was Pants. How dare they insult the man that brought Chicago a World Series for the first time in 11 years.

As long as Rose is here, Noah is here unless a superstar is on the other end of the trade.

Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
Here's my thoughts on it: Is he free or close to it? Yes? Pull the trigger, might as well. No? f*** that s***, I'll buy Morel some ibuprofen.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) Still, it was a way for the Cubs to get the last word in. They took 2 of 3 and plunked DeAza. Cubs win; Cubs win. BUT WE HAVE THE BP CUP!

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 06:29 PM) 7 titles, Q. SEVEN Titles! His Wikipedia page has its own section just for all the clutch shots he hit. Best role player of all time for sure. But not an all-star, all-nba, or HoF player. The point is, Hakeem is the goat using Salley logic.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 05:51 PM) Only for the 2nd title. But he had Big Shot Bob for both titles, so that automatically disqualifies him from this discussion. It's not like Horry was a great player, plus he was a rookie in 94.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) John Salley took a big s*** on Michael Jordan on ESPN today. Said MJ doesn't make his top 5 best players, implies that MJ would not have been successful if he didn't have Phil Jackson coaching him, declares Magic Johnson far and away the GOAT And Magic had Kareem and Riley, so he's not a top 5 either. Hakeem is the GOAT if we want to start playing the whole "hsd great coach/teammates" thing.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 10:05 AM) Wait a minute. Did you just suggest that Bill Russell is one of the 4 greatest players to ever live? We're done, Q. Forever. Wait a minute, bolded part... QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 09:50 AM) Age 27 was Jordan's 7th year in the league. It's LeBron's 9th. Kobe won his first at age 21 in his 4th year. LeBron's shot at being GOAT is gone, partially because Jordan's resume reads like a myth, Kareem's longevity and dominance put him up there, Wilt was an inhuman machine, and Russell has 11 rings. Those are the four I always see as main GOAT contenders (though I obviously think it's Jordan and I don't feel Russell should be up there) and I can't see LeBron matching any of those four. That being said, if the Heat go on a crazy run, I can see LeBron punching his way into the Top 5. My top five is this: 1. Jordan 2. Wilt 3. Kareem 4. Magic 5. Bird

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 09:18 AM) It depends on what type of run the Heat are about to go on, because statistically, you can't argue with LeBron being one of the best ever. He's the age that Jordan won his first title, and already more accomplished in piling up stats across the board. LeBron can finally not be a villain, because people can finally stop being terrified of the "big three" winning a title. This is LeBron's title, and Wade and Bosh have simply been spectators. ...waits for the Thunder to make history to make this post look dumb. Age 27 was Jordan's 7th year in the league. It's LeBron's 9th. Kobe won his first at age 21 in his 4th year.
