TIME's Top 10 Worst US Sporting Venues

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2012 -> 02:38 PM) Suddenly I'm picturing Daley fighting alongside the Avengers and being the one Hulk punches out. It's funny. I'm imagining the Ted Phillips "I AM A GOD. YOU WILL BOW TO ME." Then the Hulk wearing a cheesehat smashing him and saying "puny God" -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 14, 2012 -> 11:13 AM) I got the grief it got pre-remodel. It really was a boring place to see a game. Today the food is great, there is a decent drink selection, there is plenty to do away from the game, and the murals are excellent. This. Since the renovations started, it's become a top notch place. Food selection is outstanding. Plenty of shopping. Bacardi at the Park and Chicago Sports Depot add to outside the Arena, the FUNdamentals Deck, the statues, etc. -
LAST TIME IN WHITE SOX LAND The Machine imploded, giving up Six runs to the lowly Royals. Humber started his Return to Sanity tour. NOW the Sox welcome the free-spending Tigers to the South Side. Welcoming the p****cats to Chicago will be... John Danks...who is very excited for something. Countering him will be... Gary Oldman George Smiley Drew Smyly. Seen here...not smiling. Smyly leads the league in ERA, but the Sox lit him up for two runs (a lot for both the Sox and Smyly) and he's been plagued by John Dank's Syndrome: s***ty run support. And who cares about his ERA? We got this guy: Swag. THE WHITE SOX LOOK TO REBOUND. WILL JOHN DANKS BE AN ACE? YES. BECAUSE f*** ALL THE HATERS. THIS. IS. WHITE SOX. BASEBALL. LINEUPS TO BE ANNOUNCED.

I'm only doing a brief write up on Terry, as others can do more justice. <script type="text/javascript" src="http://widgets.sports-reference.com/wg.fcgi?css=1&site=br&url=/minors/player.cgi&div=div_standard_pitching"> Terry Doyle was picked by the White Sox in the 37th Round of the 2008 Draft. He's produced every step of the way for the Palehose farm system, as you can see by his stats above. Last year he was picked up by the Twins in the Rule 5 draft and it seemed he was destined to be a Sox slayer. Fortunately (well, for us) he didn't make the Twins final roster and was returned to our White Sox! He continues to impress this year. Doyle is a durable, strike throwing pitcher with OK stuff. Projects as a 4th/5th starter Edit: Until I can get the stats working, go here: http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/p...id=doyle-005joh

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 14, 2012 -> 08:40 AM) The AL Central is the only division where every team has a negative run differential. BUT THE TIGERS ARE THE BEST TEAM EVER, TWINS ARE THE BEST RUN FRANCHISE IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS, ROYALS HAVE THE GREATEST FARM EVER, AND THE INDIANS DON'T HAVE KENNY. I'm done.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 12, 2012 -> 09:18 PM) You didn't answer. Do you have a lot of tests scheduled or did doctors just say this is something you have to live with? Sounds like you need a trip to Mayo for full testing, etc. At the moment, going to my primary doctor tomorrow now that I'm back home. Then going from there. And while I'd love, love, LOVE to go to Mayo...insurance doesn't cover it. Damn Insurance.

QUOTE (Jake @ May 11, 2012 -> 05:05 PM) This stuff is tricky, a friend of mine struggled to do away with seizures for quite a while. He finally began to manage them with a mixture of medication and a sort of mental therapy -- he learned to "feel" them coming on and "block" them through sheer force of will, for lack of better term. This obviously wasn't the smoothest process but it did work over time and I occasionally will see him zoning out for a second and he tells me he was just focusing to turn off a seizure. Weird stuff. Best of luck. I was thrashing (while awake) and having ones where I didn't black out that I could sense. Those I was able to suppress. It's the four that have blacked me out that have absolutely decimated me.

I'm going tonight. Let's roll.

QUOTE (danman31 @ May 12, 2012 -> 02:58 AM) I liked it more than ok, but I agree with you. I thought it was a bit long in the beginning. The rest of this thread has been nerds jerking off to geeky comic book stories, but this one I'll support. I remember the Phoenix from the X-Men cartoons and was hoping they would do something, anything with it. Instead all of the X-Men movies have been a disappointment. At least Wolverine's origin story was good (I can't fathom why so many people didn't like it). Before Cyclops and the movie director left, X-Men last stand was the Dark Phoenix saga.

QUOTE (knightni @ May 11, 2012 -> 11:05 PM) There are dogs that can detect seizures in people. Maybe it could help you with an advanced warning. I've started looking into it.

Fourth seizure. Woke up covered in blood from lacerated chin.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 11, 2012 -> 01:32 AM) At least you still got your health. Oh wait... get better soon. As one of the older members of soxtalk physical ailments suck. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 11, 2012 -> 01:43 AM) Quin I prolly should take this to the filibuster area but what's the treatment for you? Do you take pills? Do they 100 percent take away the seizures? Why do you get seizures? Is it a brain problem? Take care. Pills that are supposed to block the seizures...and don't. No clue why. Doctor couldn't shed light on it.

QUOTE (kev211 @ May 11, 2012 -> 03:43 AM) Sorry, I don't care how biased this sounds, but if the Bulls play with a healthy Rose, Deng, Hamilton, Noah which they didn't do ONCE this entire season they are the best team in the NBA by far and would have ran away with the title. Anyone who disagrees I really do not care, we just had the best record in the NBA with not one game this entire season fully healthy, and would have ran away with the title. The only team who would have posed a challenge is the thunder since Miami isn't really that good as I stated in January(don't feel like finding that post but I said it) It just sucks knowing what SHOULD have been Edit: Also as mean as this sounds stop posting in this thread thinking you're mister know it all(because that is literally all you've been doing), you've openly admitted to not watching the NBA until early April because of NCAA garbage basketball. Because of this your opinion is almost worthless. While I agree with the first part, I must address the later. Damn son.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 10, 2012 -> 05:59 PM) Now that Marvel has a good foothold in the industry you have to believe that is the plan. They cant be happy seeing flicks like Wolverine getting released where they have no input What they should do is forget X-Men: The Last Stand existed and re-do what it was supposed to be. The Dark Phoenix saga. But also, I don't see how if they got to a Civil War Movie...how it wouldn't be a cash cow for everyone involved (Sony, Fox, New Line Cinema) If they got a good writer (Whedon), the opening weekend profits alone would be massive. Avengers made mad money, but now throw in Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Andrew Garfield as Spidey, and everyone else. The box office would explode.
