Sox at Nats…..9-26-25
CLE losing and so are the Mets. Boston winning.

Being bad doesn't = Rebuilding
LOL just LOL! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Being bad doesn't = Rebuilding
That is only if it is a habitual losing team. I doubt fans think that way in NY, LA. Fans have higher standards. So what is ours? Not lose 100 games then maybe 500.

I trace it back to Jake Peavy who they traded for. Sometimes history works better than a spread sheet.

2024: AL Central Thread
When I see these scenarios winning in April and May really matter.

Being bad doesn't = Rebuilding
Losing is a habit. We will never see the Pirates or A's ever be good either. Sure some teams can have a year or two of success but to sustain that is not always the small market. With 2027 being a ? I don't see owners spending big.

Being bad doesn't = Rebuilding
That isn't working so far Like we want. It hasn't worked that way for quite some time. The more I think about it that trading a stud pitcher for some guys that play more than every 5th day is not so bad. There's the risk these days with pitchers that all teams face with the TJ virus. The timing can be bad when that virus happens. The only solution is to have great coaching, scouting, development which some large markets do. The Sox are also bad in scouting at the big league level when they have spent money. Culture has a lot to do with it. We think tossing enough money would bring a Naylor or Tucker but some athletes like winning and the chance to play in October over a large payday. So I would say Ishbia's bigger challenge is to remove the identity of being a s%*# organization brought to you buy Reinsdorf. That may be the biggest challenge. There's 40 years of fans can't have nice things.

They wont. These guys are use to pitching 4 innings max. Then around July the discussion is about mothballing pitchers.

Sox have bad luck with career NL players. Plus if you have a superstar they need to be complimented with quality players.

All things LA Dodgers Thread...
No matter how you try to explain it, it was a dumb move. DBacks actually got better after the deadline. Their pen improved which was a problem last year.

All things LA Dodgers Thread...
and yet Luvello has them bunt - last night killed momentum and now getting pasted
-
Shane Smith (White Sox All Star)
seems to be a lot of those to be coincidence and weird
-
Fire Chris Getz
Jerry didn't want to hear free advice (criticism) and that's why there's Getz. A seasoned GM would say no or hell no to this job or hire them from a habitual losing organization.

Fooled us maybe for a little bit.
Funny comment by Ozzie is why do you want to watch yourself strike out

Fooled us maybe for a little bit.
nope - you can't even stream hockey, no one cares but I miss it

Fooled us maybe for a little bit.
No one cares about hockey. Only in Canada. The average person will see an endangered species in the wild before an NHL game. Chicago is a losers paradise. The Cubs might ruin that.

9/24- Sox at Yankees, 6:05
hey we've seen those before that was just stupid.....having one of your better hitters bunt, then walk Caroll, epic fail trying to outmanage Roberts I can't wait to hear about this tomorrow of the local station

that bad idea qualifies as management material for the White Sox. When you play with fire against some teams you get burnt.

overmanaging by Tori

Did not like Perdomo bunting

Fooled us maybe for a little bit.
It's had more than it's share of crap teams. No franchise QB. Only 2 WS having 2 teams. Green Bay only has one sports team and has a lot of success. The only positive was the Jordan Bulls which you many never see an NBA team like that again. It could be worse like Oakland the official farm system for the Yankees since I could remember.

Shane Smith (White Sox All Star)
which really means they aren't able to create pitching

D'Backs got better after the deadline. They backed themselves into a corner again but now I will go back to watching them again.

9/24- Sox at Yankees, 6:05
Baseball is a game of streaks. They could be due at the wrong time.

Sometimes those best record teams fall flat. I hope not.
