6/9 GT - White Sox vs. Braves (6:40 CST)
Maybe it's a rule to Montomerys on the same team are not allowed for both to be in the lineup because it would create confusion.

6/7/2026 - Sox @ Phils, rubber match, 12:35 pm CDT - Gilbert/Sandlin v. Nola
I still remember that Sox did that with Ruffcorn, the untouchable prospect. They'd call him up to pitch against the Indians. Most of the league didn't like pitching against them so why not have a minor leaguer do it.

That has sort of backfired lately. Some are thinking wildcard or possible division. None of that talk existed back in the offseason. It's odd.

We knew that before the season started. Plenty of baseball teams are like that. The other side is look at their run production.

Players probably hate when they get hit. I can understand that.

White Sox - Injury Tracker
Anyone ever think that having 3 100 loss seasons give you the luxury of not hurrying back players?

White sox culture
I had to go back to the first page to remember what this thread was about. I remember JR saying when he promoted Getz, "we have to getter quicker". I know it's premature but is he right? My dopey theory is the current team has younger players that know someone on the farm can replace them. It wasn't really like that before. Injuries happen and teams that trade tomorrow for today get in trouble when that today player gets injured. Then you have to play the sign the DFA guy. At least with Mune out you brought up a guy who was raking it in AAA as opposed to just getting a body for the roster spot.

At what point do we start to believe?
I guess it depends on expectations. Some think post season in a really bad AL. We will see the difference between a young team and teams with established veterans.
