  1. Dodger's making the post season look easy for them.
  2. Jays scored double digits twice in a row
  3. The Sox fan ritual of playing everyone at first base. We just need that Lamar Johnson to change that thinking. Since Cannon doesn't pitch well put him at first.
  4. Losing is a habit. Sure you can maybe have a couple of years of success and back to being bad again. They are not alone. Somehow we think rebuild = success. There's some organizations that send the message fans can't have nice things. Attention wannabe team owners, winning is expensive in all sports.
  5. that would be interesting. Our value as fans would be "glad he's gone". These are the types of FA you get when an organization is one of the worst in baseball, Forget Tucker, Naylor, because they would never sign here unless you pay them like Juan Soto. Then you have those guys hoping to get traded to a contender. The real issue is to erase that Reinsdorf blemish which will be Ishbia's greatest challenge.
  6. you still have to get there....but having a stud pitcher out with the TJ virus is gonna cost you at least 10 games and no postseason, you still need a healthy offense and a starter who can do the job Hopefully the habit of relying on a pen more than a starter goes away. Pens are often inconsistent. A Crochet was the difference between staying home and then there's the Pirates. Think of some of these older Sox teams would have been great in a post season short series but lacked a lot of everything else.
  7. It's really logic but that is overlooked in baseball and other sports. A guy who works every 5th day vs, people who play a lot more games. It would not be wise to trade a stud pitcher for more pitchers who are not proven but more as a budget move. Oh for a farm system that can produce both. Amazed what some teams pay for an "over the hill based on age" pitcher on they way to the Hall if they can get one season out of them.
  8. I'm happy for both as players. Imagine being in Vargas' shoes going from the Dodgers to the Sox and being exposed to Grtifol. Colson wondering if he is going to waste away in Charlotte. I applaud the Sox for risking the sink or swim. Nice to see something work out for the Sox even if it fails long term.
  9. my brain can't work that hard so I'll just tune in next season not knowing what will happen after 2026 doesn't bother me if JR is cautious - I guess a credible excuse
  10. what seems to missing is it was fan appreciation day. Don't they do these things despite they beat the Mets. Going from 100 losses to almost 500 should be a celebration? That's quite an improvement with a 2nd year GM
  11. none for me - it's always who is the hottest at the time
  12. That is a Cub fan's biggest complaint. I myself are amazed they don't spend like we think they should.
  13. could that be the result of a good farm system? I wouldn't know
  14. these don't work - maybe I should go old school and listen on the radio - this is where baseball beats the other sports.
  15. now where have we seen that before? Especially defense
  16. Not for free............that's the issue $30 a month - easy pass
  17. Found it https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPMuGMoCUdZ/
  18. post em if you got em.......this is not the one I heard on PHX radio but I cant find it.
  19. we darn, that leaves some of us out who were going to pool up our money and we could say we own a baseball team.
  20. hopefully they get that far..........they can have an injury where they miss over a year
