Maybe the Sox were not their first pick

this is a bunch of kids who have to grow up quickly this is their disadvantage plus the pitching staff put together by duct tape

that's with every baseball team. I've followed the D'Backs the last 2 years and it's always a fail the last week. Then there was the 2025 Mets pouting over the Marlins celebrating fan appreciation day thinking it was about them, Boston and Cubs wouldn't be there if it weren't for insane hot streaks. The Castillo trade is why I would never trust Getz. I don't even remember who they got for Cease. He got lucky a few times but far from a baseball mastermind. Maybe the only skill he has is that Jerry listens to him. That is still a great accomplishment.

I wonder if Philly fans say sit him

I've rarely watched a Sox broadcast in years. I just like the other broadcast perspective.

we've already christened one who hasn't played a full season of pro ball and didn't have pretty stats either lets make every game thread about Colson

it's short term the weaknesses have nothing to do with on the field

save that for Philly fans

we should be use to that

you'd think we are Philly fans right now

keep polishing your crystal ball, you could be right though

yeah forget that leading the league in Ks let's pick cherries and call them apples

a team that had Kyle Schwarber

often the result of moving guys around at the big league level when they moved Vargas around going back to 3rd he wouldn't make the best throws for a bit. You'd love to have guys that are gifted to play anywhere.

He's not if he plays there all of the time.

Maybe it was an attempt to show some confidence. I doubt many hitters can make adjustments this late. But we will ignore that possibility. Hmmm there was one guy who got a huge contract who is not living up to it this season. Meanwhile it sparks the mental illness of trade frenzy. We keep acting like he's a 5 year veteran.

Pitching is really overpriced. I think it will be low cost risk and hope for the young guys to emerge. Plus I have no confidence in Getz when it comes to trades. We don't have Hahn to try the bluff us having a seat at the table with Skubal.

That's going to be difficult if they go the cheap ass route. They are not the only team in baseball wanting to do the same thing. Who knows maybe Castillo wont be so washed up.

so what is he suppose to do?

So did some other teams. They were unreal during that stretch.

You gotta take your hat off to Q for that one. He hit spots Mune couldn't do anything with

I can't see the DBack's sweeping SD

but teams have lost to them........some would surprise you

never walk a guy looking for his 40th HR

they don't make em like that anymore nice his final game was a decent outing
