It was more of a salary dump than trade. Any team that woulds take on $20M is not going to give anything of real value.

They probably have people in the minors that would match the Sox equivalent. Another example of trade frenzy thinking the Dodgers would be interested in low level Sox players because of injury. At 16-6 I don't think they are pressing a panic button. I'm sure Getz could get more guys who have no options. Trading pitching when you have none as it is.

Doubt it. They probably have better options.

Relievers and closers bundled into that would make sense but a closer with 63 is a loser.
