  1. I guess the Sox farm system couldn't improve him. Where have we seen that before?
  2. Sale is still a stud. 6 innings, 3 hit shutout
  3. makes those older hitters look good. Age of most of this line up is 26.
  4. LOL. wasn't 2017 a 100 loss season for them? Fair is not the word but short term success. It's like the center of an EREO with a turd crust. The local media even tried to boost the Grifol hire. Losing is a habit.
  5. or players started here get better when they leave
  6. I don't get their mindset on this. Would've been a better idea to do this with Sosa. I watched Sam in the fall league playing 2nd he was fine.
  7. If a person didn't watch the news or the game. A person would think his leadoff homer was done by AI.
  8. I think next year your post for March 26, 2026 will be obvious.
  9. I all pro sports the error of margin of #1 can be catastrophic and long term. Baseball is far more difficult to get it right.
  10. he's failing in that since the Dodgers did move
  11. it seems like all owners do that when it comes to stadiums
  12. I'm beginning to wonder if this organization is far worse than we think. The only consistency is bad. Are the same things taught throughout the farm? They don't seem to have any coaches with a magic wand who can improve a younger players weakness in the farm system. There are too many constant negatives far more than a decade. I'm not a Getz apologists but maybe trying to piece meal a broken system is beyond him. His past is tied into another habitual losing organization. I have no idea if Ishbia is doing extensive research on getting the right people and the right philosophy for winning. Like does he have his own group of private consultants. We can be optimistic about a player here and there in the minors but only one or two in one level isn't gonna cut it if you aren't going to be serious in free agency or rewarding your own players. there are too many teams trying to be budget and will never get success. Then you also have the Mets. For fans of teams that suck competitive has a low bar.
  13. they swung at way too many pitches out of the zone seen Colson 2 two down the middle
  14. Robert's debut with the Mets is impressive
  15. it will trickle down into an overused pen.
  16. Am I the only one who thinks Meidroth doesn't have a lot of range?
  17. Just a long as it's not check the boxes mentality and they know what they are talking about.
  18. When it comes to catchers I don't think this organization has a clue how to deal with them. It's been that way a long time.
  19. stuck with grifol - Getz probably recommended him because of his Royal envy. How many organizations promote the minor league director who wasn't successful at that? We know there's at least one or two on this forum will make excuses that even Getz wish he thought of.
  20. It's a risk but if he were a Sox he never get that but definitely traded. Are we looking at the contract with our budget Sox goggles? It's the Cubs, they can afford a bad contract.
  21. I think it will boil down to team health. Of course that will be an excuse if they go 100 losses again.
  22. A common theme among all central division teams
  23. it seems to happen with recent HoF players
