  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 05:04 PM) This team looks dead.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 03:00 PM) Can someone give me a thumbnail on what happened today since I had to attend our baby shower? Haren was good. 4-2 bottom of the 9th, Angels closer has no command, gives up leadoff double to Q! and walks Alex after getting him 0-2, A.J. sac bunts them over, Alexei K's on 3 or 4 pitches, Omar walks to load em up and Ozzie let's Pierre hit w/ bases loaded, 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th and he pops a lazy fly to left.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 02:57 PM) Explain yourself. Meant defensively.
  4. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) That's disgusting. Anyway, why are you getting so upset? Nobody is saying Beckham is terrible or is a bust. It's just that some here think he may become a better than average player but not the superstar some had hyped him to be. Don't take this stuff so seriously. It's only a message board where people express their opinions about what is only a game. It's actually pretty upsetting when a player has a s***ty week and everyone writes them off lmao. Beckham continues to improve every season everywhere they stick him and people are saying he is going to be Tadahito f***ing Iguchi because he has a bad week and everyone is pissy that we get our asses handed to us by the Angels.
  5. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) Why don't we go ahead and put Teahen at third. It's not like Morel has been awesome defensively. Uh because Teahen is abnormally terrible at 3rd base
  6. LOL so Dunn's mere presence is a harbinger of doom for any team? Give me a break, we needed OBP and left handed power that year and holy s***, Dunn provides that. Who gives a f*** if he strikes out sometimes, you'll be happy when it's a three run homer lol. 40HR/100 RBI + high walks and K's? I'll take it.
  7. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 03:13 PM) I'd try Lillibridge as closer before Pena. The Little Closer That Could.
  8. Player-wise, we definitely came out on top of the Ejax-Huddy deal. There's no question that Jackson has better stuff and is a better pitcher as of right now - Value-wise, however, I don't think we come out on top in that perspective unless we can re-sign Ejax. But as of right now I like it. And even if A.J. is a weakness in the line-up, the value he brings with the pitching staff makes him better than any of our other options. Although the future at catcher is a bit sketchy for us, IMO.
  9. That was quick. Probably bringing up another pitcher.
  10. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) and s*** for run support.. This as well. Poor guy can't catch a f***ing break lol.
  11. Danks still has the same old problem, 100 pitch pitcher -.-
  12. Okay guys, so I've pretty much missed the entire offseason. WTF have we done so far?
  13. I'm pretty sure the White Sox 'liking' Ian Stewart means that they'd just want him in a package. I really doubt he'd be the centerpiece and unless we got 3 pieces that are very similar to him, I'd be a little upset. Stewart/Fowler/Something would be alright with me I guess, but if you trade Gavin for any kind of position player, they have to be productive and start for the trade to really be worth it.
  14. Honestly, if we trade Floyd, we had better be getting a player like Stewart and at least 2 of another teams top 10's. Cheap, young, durable starting pitching doesn't hit the market often, Floyd is a huge chip.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 08:40 PM) Us: Carl, we offer you 5 years at $60 million. Carl: No Us: Oh well, we tried ^
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 11:17 AM) Am I the only one who thinks Floyd wouldn't be enough to get Kemp? That was my thought too.
