  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) Beckham went on contact from 3rd after Dunn had moved him over with a groundout. Good job Nathan, big confidence builder there. Alright, thanks.
  2. I had to travel a ways and I just got back. It was 0-0 in the like 4th, what happened? Also, I tried following it on my phone. Beckham, I think, was on third but didn't score (but Paul Konerko got to first)?
  3. QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Apr 6, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) A.J. Since he's not playing, I'll pick De Aza.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 6, 2012 -> 03:43 PM) Is one game enough for a line-up change? Because Morel has no business at #2. I hope so.
  5. I know he is a superstar, but I can't believe he controls whether the coach returns or is fired. Dwight is quickly becoming of the players I hate the most.
  6. Ya Stenson went quadruple bogey on 18. This is how I think it went: Butchered the drive (obviously) into the pines Didn't get out of the pines on the second shot Shanked the next shot, but got it onto the fairway Overshot the green into the gallery Pitched it, but failed to get on the fringe Had a tough put from the fringe, went past the cup Then missed an easy put Finally made it for an 8.
  7. "I think we hurt each other. Well, I’m not going to say he hurt me; we hurt each other." What?
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 4, 2012 -> 12:37 PM) Who the f*** voted Ozzie? Why the f*** is he on there? LOL, good question.
  9. Went through the first two pages of comments and here were my two favorites: Lol inbreeding how i can laugh that off that's arkansas dips*** get it right. Chicago- home of the f**s that think they're better than everyone else and think they're hot s*** because the mafia used to be there and because pizza got popular there OMG CHICAGO DOES SO MUCH FOR THE COUNTRY TOO RIGHT? What exactly is chicagos main production? and whens the last time the white socks have won a world series? When did the white sox choose such a s***ty mascot when there's also a red sox.... white and red difference? Nope... oh yeah and when did Robin beat up nolan ryan all i saw was Robin blocking Nolans fist with his face DONT f*** WITH TEXAS
  10. I thought it was pretty cool, especially liked the part with the shot of Paulie.
  11. Position: RHP Born: August 12th, 1988 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic Height: 6'1 Weight: 165 Bats: Right Throws: Right Acquired: Signed by Florida as amateur free agent in 2006; acquired by White Sox as compensation for Ozzie Guillen (2011) Scouting Reports FutureSox: Marinez came to the White Sox with some Major League experience already in hand. The Dominican totaled less than three innings in a cup of coffee in 2010 and was unable to match that production in 2011. Used primarily as a reliever in the minors, Marinez burst onto the scene early in 2010 with gaudy numbers in high-A. He struck out 44, walked 14 and allowed just 12 hits in 25.1 IP for a 1.42 ERA. That earned him a promotion to AA where he kept the K/9 above 10 and showed a bit more control. In 2011 he struck out 74 in 58 innings and kept the ERA under 3, but walked 42 batters. His mid 90s fastball is a weapon and is the main reason he is a prolific whiffer. Also armed with a decent slider and a two-seam fastball, Marinez has good enough stuff to pitch in an MLB bullpen, but he needs to harness the stuff. If the Sox can get Marinez to throw strikes he should be a solid reliever. FanGraphs: Marinez and Oswaldo Martinez (considered in 11-15 range) were both acquired in the Ozzie Guillen “trade.” Marinez is your typical White Sox pitcher in the sense that he’s a hard thrower… but doesn’t always know where the ball is going. He had a breakout season in 2010 but took a step back in ’11 when his control deserted him and he posted a walk rate of 6.52 BB/9. He has the potential to be an eighth-inning stalwart. ScoutingBook.com: A Dominican who will probably be most-remembered for being one of the prospects traded for new Miami manager Ozzie Guillen, Jhan Marinez is a bit of an under-the-radar sleeper prospect now in the White Sox system who doesn't get as much attention as he probably deserves, despite his appearance in the Futures Game last season. Marinez is a slight player with a power fastball that can touch 98, but he has more success with his two-seamer, a 92mph offering with exceptional movement. His change and slider still need to improve before they're ready for the big stage, but he has so much raw talent that he's bound to make it sooner or later. 12. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 30, 2012 -> 11:53 AM) It's White Sox baseball, so I'll be watching. Simple as that. Since I have no expectations, it should be a pretty enjoyable season no matter what. Sort of strange. Completely agree.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 04:40 PM) I'm not sure what you mean. He always starts on that date? I don't recall that joke at all. "Danks" describes good weed, I think, and April 20th (4/20) is like "National Pot Smokers Day".
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 04:38 PM) I s*** you not, I had to Google that person to see if he was real. It honestly could have been a story mentioned by Hawk. Before I read your post, I thought it was a true story.
  15. Adam Dunn bats over .160 Joking aside, I think he has a big year.
  16. Haven't watched many ST games this year, but when I did, I was somewhat impressed by Johnson. Although, by just looking at the stats, I understand why Escobar was chosen before him (batting .471) and having a backup IF is better than a backup 1B.
  17. Did anyone see this Baylor student dancing when they showed their student section? Too funny.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 12:36 PM) I hope Sanchez never gets hurt, because Tebow playing in NY might cause ESPN to explode. That would be nuts, especially if he starts winning again. I love that quote by Rex Ryan. Also, I can't believe how hard the Saints/Payton got punished. A full year, wow.
