Meh. Chris Sale is allowed a s*** game. And it's just one game. Blowing the historic streak is no more meaningful than any other loss, even if it hurts more on a sentimental level. Avila, on the other hand, can go to hell. That laziness is unforgivable. Put that f***ing turd on the bench where he belongs. Oh, and just to continue with my Saladino Derangement Syndrome, nice soft groundout to P with RISP, loser. Join AA on the bench. Off to other things for my evening.

Tim Anderson has walked five times in 35 games. With limited power, does anyone think he can come up here and put up even a .700+ OPS? How's his defense progressed? I know that used to be a weakness, and with all those things combined, it just doesn't seem like he'd be a high WAR player in MLB. There's too many red flags for me personally to be that high on him.

Enough about the umps. We lost this game. Albers can't finish innings anymore, Abreu has consistently failed to be a dangerous run producer, we played an absurdly weak lineup against a tough pitcher and we failed to use Frazier. Should have used him in the ninth, where he could have ended it or continued the threat, which Saladino's much celebrated SF did not do. This is on us. Not an ump.

Why are we talking about Jerry Sands?

I know it worked, but why wasn't Frazier in for one of the utility guys? Is he hurt?

Thank Jesus that we have both of the no-hit, talentless utility players in. I'm sure they'll tee right up on Harris and Gregerson.
