The problem is he went from Matt Kemp level to ok he's just really bad. Mazara right now is much better than him. I'd rather not have a black hole out there when we have Eloy in the same outfield. I dont see him making a huge jump to Yasiel Puig status in DRS. That factors in range too.

Yes. DRS he was -9 last year and -19 in 2018. URZ he's -4.9 and -12.3 in 2018. He's -12.6 in defensive WAR. He's a butcher.

Oh that's what I thought you were looking at. I don't know how they calculate it. Just defensively to break down URZ or DRS Puig is superior. But yeah he could explode. I think it's an interesting opportunity to improve though if the White Sox already went through the motions on controlling him.

Ultimately Mazara shouldn't be the starting RFer opening day with any club. He has to earn his way back into the fold. Puig is a superior player. I'm assuming that the White Sox internally already went through the motions about dealing with his attitude.

Unless I'm missing something. Fangraphs had him at 0 DRS last year between 2 teams. then +6 in 2018 and +18 in 2017 in RF. His DRS stats in CF are pretty good too.

Where are you seeing that? In DRS he's at 0 which is perfectly fine.

Being against change is one thing. Running around on the baseball field doing the same old shit and plugging your ears is another. None of that's good.
