White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) Hahn has always said they would listen to offers for any of their players. Yeah...it's just a repeat of everything we already know. They will always listen. Price doesnt change.

7/21/16 Tigers @ Sox
QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 08:34 PM) It's SBNation. Who the hell knows? You and I can write for them. Chris Cotillo is pretty good at breaking news

7/21/16 Tigers @ Sox
Rumblings on Twitter is he's not injured...but take that with a grain of salt. Still possible/likely.

White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers
QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 07:42 PM) Teams with decade long rebuilds can't afford to keep their guys. That's a problem the Sox organization doesn't have. The Pirates are a great example. They had Bonds and they couldn't afford to pay him. Same with Bonilla. That's not the only reason. Just flat out poor scouting helps.

Well if they can get Urias back that helps the rotation at some point

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 06:49 PM) Mired in mediocrity indeed. Well said Rick. Can't wait for a long overdue rebuild. Long and rebuild definitely belong with the way they've attempted to assemble a team. Ready for the decades to fly by.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 06:05 PM) Phil Rogers on SportsTalk Live just said that Rangers have been pursuing Quintana the hardest. Great...I'll take Profar. Thank you.

Boston has the ammo...but I think I'd rather see him go to the Rangers or the Dodgers. Just as a pure me watching him during the game type of thing. I just absolutely hate the Red Sox.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 05:15 PM) They're waiting on pitching til off-season since free agency is weak. It's weak right now and the market is ripe. I dont know if waiting is going to help that much. Dom in Boston already overpaid for a SP. They could certainly fleece him or another team desperate for the playoffs.

All the Rangers trading Gallo for Sale suggestions on Twitter make me sick. I want Profar...not somebody who it's certainly questionable if he can make contact with the ball in the majors or not. Ideally though...you dont have the top pieces as prospects in either the Q or Sale trade. They should be major league ready players. I bet that's what Boston didnt offer in their package earlier this week.

QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Hahn sounds pretty resigned. He realizes the crap product on the field can't be hidden anymore. Well...he's part of the reason a crap product is out there. His pride and joy Avi Garcia blowing ass is a big part of that reason.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) This makes me want to vomit. Hopefully they are just slow-playing them to get more. Let's just think logically here... what signal would that send to Jerry? "Hey sorry man...but your going to be dead by the time we compete"? Exactly what he wants!

I bet it was the Red Sox....I dont think Texas would do that. All the butt hurt people on Twitter right now trashing the Sox for not trading Sale is amusing

Man the White Sox are leaking all sorts of s*** today

White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers
They play their cards right...they can fleece someone for our bullpen pieces. Now they probably wont...but here's hoping.
-
White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers
Boston could...but I would want pieces from their lineup. Not sure they would trade those.

No the real misery will be if prospects start failing...that's when the best of this forum comes out

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 12:02 PM) #WhiteSox will have opportunities to move Zach Duke, who leads AL with 48 appearances. Signed for $5.5M next year. Many teams want LH pen. https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/756165236009291776 I've wanted Zack Duke gone the moment we signed him so this would be pleasant news.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 11:50 AM) So is your plan at this point just staying put and trying to add pieces again next offseason? Serious question. That's probably what they would do yes and if the management stays that's what I would like them to do. I have zero faith that they can actually sell guys like Q and Sale for the correct price without severely damaging our future.
