  1. "According to one interested party, the asking price on Jeff Samardzija is four players" http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-he...s-tigers-hamels
  2. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jul 24, 2015 -> 11:22 AM) Is it the real Larry king? Yeah that's the real Larry King.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 10:15 PM) I get you. Frankly just give me a trade where we come out of it with some MLB ready or almost ready contributors. Not also-rans, fringe pen arms or AAA fodder. Boy wouldnt that be nice for a change.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 10:01 PM) I mean, out of all the things we need, pitching isnt my first choice. Our offensive and defensive games are horrific. I honestly believe Sale/Q/Fulmer/Rodon is a good enough core in 2 years to be a serious contender. Ofcourse I'm just saying that they have quite an abundance of very good young pitching. I certainly wouldnt mind taking some of those prospects.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 09:54 PM) Definitely some smoke with Toronto, I wouldnt be against it. I was hoping the Dodgers would be the best fit Yeah...really they are the only team I would take pitching from out of all the teams we've been linked to.
  6. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 07:36 PM) Then it will be flip flops it's summer. Flip Flops will be better.
  7. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 07:34 PM) Doesn't like my shoes so I took it down lol It was just a huge picture lol. Just downsize it.
  8. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 07:32 PM) Who's? All I see is a picture of the white house with White Sox stuff on it lol WhiteSoxLifer had it. But now its gone.
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 07:30 PM) Shoes? Pretty sure that's what I'm looking at in that signature.
  10. Do we always have to see that big ass picture of shoes when you post?
  11. Alexei killed that ball my goodness
  12. Christ sake Adam...take a seat
  13. Toronto I would gladly take pitching prospects.
  14. So far so good for Shark
  15. Oh the significant haul talk. Remember that pre Peavy trade talk? Some of the best prospects in baseball. Yeah that's what this sounds like.
  16. Yeah we said the same thing about Alex Rios. If I remember correctly we didnt take on a penny. We got pennies back ofcourse.
  17. I dont think anybody is worried about being first to trade. But we're worried about what Hahn is going to get back if indeed he wants a MLB Ready Player. For Billy that was a pretty good return in prospects. But if your looking for MLB Ready Bats who knows what your going to get back.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:33 PM) Please don't make me think about that. Sorry that's immediately who I thought of.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:32 PM) Yes, the A's can wait on people...but if Samardzija couldn't draw a package this good and the White Sox are looking for MLB-ready talent, the conclusion one might come to is that the MLB-ready talent will be even weaker. You thinking someone like Leury Garcia?
  20. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:30 PM) that is the point. hamels, cueto, price and then the 2 nd level tiers of sp's now where you one add shark??? You can maybe hope the Dodgers. But they like Gallardo.
  21. Well atleast we have a clear idea now of who they want. Can kind of narrow down teams rosters when looking at the possibilities.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:21 PM) How many times was Nottingham mentioned on this site before today? Now all of a sudden, this A ball catcher is something the Sox really needed. It's beyond laughable. If the Sox actually made this trade today, and a couple of days later, another rental was traded for a better known prospect, the complaining would have no end. I am sorry, I am not losing my mind because the Sox didn't acquire some A ball catcher that wasn't even a top 20 Astros prospect before this season began. Maybe I should be. But why don't we wait to see what was acquired and how they turn out before deciding the White Sox blew it? And how do we even know this package was available for Samardjiza? Who honestly cares how many times he was mentioned? I think the obvious problem here is the lack of trust in Rick Hahn.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:16 PM) Maybe Hahn and company wanted prospects that are closer to being MLB ready to fit the window they believe they have? The catcher from the Astros is still a few years away. I'm almost certain that is the reason.
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 01:12 PM) The Astros are without a doubt the most sabermetrical team in baseball. So if you're a saber guy, and knowing how thin catching is league-wide, and they trade him for a rental, wouldn't it make you think they aren't very high on him? You gotta give up players to get players. I dont see why that isnt getting through to you.
