QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 03:53 PM) How many times did Pat Quinn call himself the 'jobs governor'? Wordplay to try to influence the masses. I hope people in Illinois wake the f*** up and realize how fleeced they are getting.

Any of you guys good at picking hockey games? Wanted help doing parlay bets for the season. -
QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 9, 2014 -> 01:48 PM) My daughter is starting a job working at Little Caesar’s near our house. She goes to orientation on Saturday morning but she also has to complete some sort of food certification course online. They said it is a new law in Illinois that went into affect in July of this year. Cost is $15 but they are giving her some sort of voucher or something that makes it $10. I had never heard of this before but I researched it and apparently it’s legit. http://www.illinoisrestaurants.org/?page=F...afetyChangesHdl Seems like another money grab. Why on earth do you need a certificate when you're employer should be training you on it since their asses are on the line.

I started this temp job at an enviromental lab about a month and half ago. I get a call for a position in a pharma lab (most of my experience is in this area) that is going to pay $5-$10 more an hour. I am planning to go back to school next fall so I am only planning on working full time until probably next August. Both positions are temp assignments but I believe the one I'm currently on has the potential to go permanent; the other position is just straight up temporary I believe. Even if my current company offered me a permanent role, I would have to decline it. I would ask to remain a temp since I'm leaving anyway. My gut is telling me to just hold the line and stay at this company for a year instead of hopping to the pharma company. Then on the other hand, if I don't get into graduate school and I have to work another year, the pharma company would be ideal to work in. Being an adult is difficult.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 9, 2014 -> 09:54 AM) I think even in the dome with a really good team, they might do better. It will never happen, but I'm totally in favor of just getting rid of teams. Instead of trying to move them from one city to another. Let's just get rid of them. Yeah the NFL would never ever approve of that because of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 8, 2014 -> 10:09 PM) So Brownback, the loon Republican in Kansas who has hurt this state in many ways already, catches a break and probably will win. What did the Democrat do? Heaven forbid he went to a strip club when he was single in his 20s. Oh the horror. Looks like the conservative voters who abhor strip clubs will use that as a character flaw of the democrat. What a joke. p.s. This is why a friend of mine, who now is an important federal judge, never drank or smoked pot in college and never picked up a girl for a one-night stand. He'd only be with a college coed in a proper dating situation. He knew he had aspirations of being big-time and did not want to do anything that could come back to haunt him. He led an impeccably clean lifestyle so nobody could do something like this to him someday. He once confessed to me that indeed was the method to his madness, not giving people anything to use against him someday. Brownback being re-elected? Wow. I am pretty sure most men have been to strip clubs and those who say otherwise are straight up lying.

Any of you guys wear tie clips? If so is it worth shelling out decent money for one? Recommendations would be appreciated as well.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 9, 2014 -> 09:47 AM) I think the Rams screwed up first by locking themselves into that terrible dome. There should be a sister stadium right near the new Busch stadium. St Louis fans would be there if it was a competitive team and worth going. Unfortunately they combined to have terrible teams and a terrible stadium all at once, and now they look to get out. If any team needs to leave their current place, it is Jacksonville first. There is no reason to have a team there. At all. I agree, how the NFL has allowed that to exist is beyond me. -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 9, 2014 -> 09:32 AM) There are tickets for the Rams game available for 10.00. Ten bucks and still no one goes. I can't imagine L.A could do any worse. $10 to go to a football game? That is sick. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 8, 2014 -> 05:15 PM) Yeah, it's just understanding how to balance time, priorities, motivate teams, DELEGATE, etc...not sure anything beats experience when it comes to learning those skills. but i have a degree from haarrrrrvvvarddd...

Anyway you could do it at a public university instead of a private one? That will probably save you a ton of dough.

Tough s*** about the Cards and Giants playing each other again. Maybe the other teams should have showed up and won the games? I mean the Giants were a wildcard team and the Cardinals were underdogs against the Dodgers. The two top teams laid eggs. Blame them. =)

It's an even year which means the Giants are going to win it all.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 7, 2014 -> 02:11 PM) It was a timing route, he threw it before Marshall was supposed to curl. He never curled and shields was right there waiting for it. If Marshall curled, he would have shielded the defender, like the play is designed. His pick across the middle to Tramon Williams was awful, no doubt. But the pick to Shields was on marshall I was being facetious. I know that was on Marshall. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 7, 2014 -> 02:08 PM) How is it that other QBs are sometimes able to go hundreds of pass attempts without an INT when they have to deal with such things? Football IQ. "I think he's not running the right route, better check the other receivers..." -

QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 7, 2014 -> 12:30 PM) Against sorry ass defenses. Targets have been distributed evenly this year. Jeffery-39, Marshall-37, Bennett-42, Forte-42 I'm fairly certain Trestman had a big say, if not the final say, in what QB he wanted brought back. Jays contract was structured to where if they wanted to add more to the D they could have You can keep parroting sorry ass defense but that doesn't change the fact that Jay wouldn't fare any better. The Packers don't have a good defense... as a matter of fact, Jay was able to throw at will on the Packers and still ended up throwing interceptions. To add to this, these weren't the DB just made a good play picks they were Jay being Jay type picks. Things that make you go hmmm... -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 7, 2014 -> 11:21 AM) Not really. He hit .279/.336/.475 in a very pitcher-friendly park. I'd be fine with him as a DH. If he still has that stupid out of the batter box routine, pass.
