  1. The Sox have proven they can hit, it's just a few rally killers who disrupt the flow of things that are the culprits. Kepp and Dunn come to mind as they are both below .200! T-Flo seems to be coming around albeit against garbage pitching but still, the Sox have good pitching and if they can tweak their offense just a bit they can do well. Call it blind optimism but we'll see.
  2. Wise > Danks Wise is veteran, Danks is a minor league veteran.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 10, 2013 -> 10:30 PM) Serious question. Would Toronto take a Rios for Mark trade man for man right now? LOL Why on earth?
  4. Who is that pitcher? They called up a minor leaguer?
  5. He was being a choad. He got his now let's move on.
  6. What a tool Andrew is... why is he so belligerent?
  7. Yeah if I were Ventura I'd keep shaking up that 2 hole spot with a Gillespie/Ramirez/Beckham combo until Kepp gets his head out of his ass. If you play Kepp, he hits 8th/9th period at this point. Does Jordan Danks make enough contact to be a lead off hitter?
  8. De Aza is K 'ing' a lot because he has no good approach at the plate. Him hitting the amount of HR he has is proof of that.
  9. QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 8, 2013 -> 08:48 PM) I don't think they play defense in the WBC. Spoken like someone who didn't watch the games. Geez, Marty.
  10. I like the lineup shake up. Let's hope Greene doesn't airmail a DP or routine groundball.
  11. QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) No. Come on Marty, it's obvious you're seeing red right now.
  12. f*** it. Put Viciedo in the 4 hole with Dunn/Konerko following up.
  13. Yeah I want to see Becks and Viciedo back in the lineup. Also Gillespie should be our 3B from here on out with Kepp playing the utility guy. Here's how I shake up the lineup and I'm ready to be flamed, but whatever. Danks Gillespie Rios Dunn/Konerko Dunn/Konerko Viciedo Ramirez Flowers Beckham
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) You might as well try to get someone on base in front of Rios. Keppinger has his sub .200 average and 0 walks is making it so easy to pitch to Rios. Yeah you need baserunners to put pressure on the defense. Harvey didn't pitch from the stretch at all tonight.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) You might as well try to get someone on base in front of Rios. Keppinger has his sub .200 average and 0 walks is making it so easy to pitch to Rios. Yeah Kepp got paid and he's playing so lazy on both sides of the ball. I was excited at first but my goodness wow, what in the world is going.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 7, 2013 -> 08:48 PM) Put in Santiago. Santiago actually made contact lmao.
  17. You can shake it up and move the K hitters to the bottom and hope the contact ish hitters can do something haha
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2013 -> 08:46 PM) This is absolutely the worst offensive Sox team in a very long time. Of course, they'll keep the same lineup for tomorrow I'm sure. What do you suggest they do to fix it though?
  19. Off topic but Morel has walked twice today. Crazy.
  20. If he doesn't play Gold Glover defense, he's bad per Soxtalk.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2013 -> 04:10 PM) Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan 44s In context of Sunday's blown lead in 9th and loss to Royals, Ventura described Monday's win in KC as the biggest of the year. I think the SOX would have been Defcon 5 if they lost that game. I'm glad they were scrappy enough to win it. Ugly baseball by both sides.
  22. Jordan mother******* Danks. I was ready to jump down his throat for his base running gaffe but he redeemed himself for sure.
