  1. Sale has had 3 quality starts. Look for the offense to get better when Beckham and Viciedo return. If Ventura can shake up the lineup, they'll score runs.
  2. QUOTE (joeynach @ Apr 22, 2013 -> 01:16 PM) Thats what he does, a lot, why are you mad at a guy for doing something he has based his entire career on. Either strikeout or hit a HR. I was being sarcastic and trying to lighten the mood. People are getting way to antsy.
  3. Dunn is a bum and shouldn't have struck out.
  4. Doumit was behind the plate yesterday, not Mauer. Not that it takes any validity from your post but it wasn't some All-Star catcher.
  5. Kepp did good today people. No hits but 2 RBIs. BP picked a terrible day to implode. S*** happens; on to the next game. 3 runs should've been enough against the Twins.
  6. I'm looking forward to seeing Beckham back, along with Viciedo.
  7. Does anyone on this team know how to work a f***ing count other than Flowers, Rios, and Konerko?
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 04:45 PM) Mother saying one of her sons was followed by the FBI for 3 years. Teased by CNN before break, interview apparently coming up. Denial is a helluva drug.

    Should I go?

5 people voted for him to be banned if he goes. Tough crowd.
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 06:44 PM) Theres the old Flowers. Atleast let them get a second look at him. Everyone is 'K' ing.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 01:03 PM) I wondered about this. How on earth did this guy think he was going to get away with it at the finish line? He had to know there would be a TON of video cameras rolling. He/she probably didn't care? Maybe they are trying to be a matyr?
  12. Gimenez sures knows how to make good contact to get runs in.
  13. Hopefully this is the beginning of a winning streak.
  14. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 02:19 PM) You still have to try maximizing your production using the talent you currently have on your roster. I can't think of any argument for why Dunn should bat ahead of Konerko, at least not in his current form (i.e. a .200 hitter). As for the bottom half of the lineup, there is no solution unless Viciedo & Flowers improve with experience. I haven't liked what I've seen out of them so far, but it's only been 9 games. It's way too early to jump to conclusions on them. The only good news for the Sox is that Rios is straight beasting right now and making up for some of the other players' lackluster starts. roids
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 11:32 AM) Th= 4.1 IP 1 ER Wed=2.2 IP 0 ER Tue=2.2 IP 1 ER Total 9.2 IP 2 ER = 1.86 ERA That is a respectable ERA. The starting pitching is what sucked. Peavy and Floyd serving up longballs like it's going out of style.
  16. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 11:12 AM) The third spot in the lineup is for your best all around hitter. At this point that is Rios, certainly not Gillaspie. The fourth spot in the lineup is for your best power hitter, which is very clearly Dunn. I know about the rules but how many times has Dunn just killed a rally with a big stinkin' whiff. He's a liability in the 4 hole with his approach. He has to change it.
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 10:58 AM) Wow, Gillaspie should not be batting third under any circumstances. I get that's he been hitting well, but there's a reason we got him for a minor league relief prospect a week before the season. Keep him in the 7 hole to break up some of the low contact, right-handed hitters we have down there. Also, Rios is pretty close to even against RHP & LHP over the course of his career and while Paulie is better against LHP he's no slouch against RHP. I don't there's much of an issue having three right-handed batters in a row when two of them are Rios & Konerko. We need people who can friggin' hit in succession to score some fuggin' runs but you have a point that they fare well against either type of pitcher.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 10:56 AM) Then either Dunn or Konerko is hitting 6th. That's too low for either one of them. Well since Dunn is all or nothing player, he'd do a good job breaking up the "low obp/contact" hitters in the bottom.
