    Don't Get Mad, Get Savvy18. I'd Walk a Mile for a Savvy18.
  2. I'm about 10 mins from the Wisconsin border and it is Sunny, but windy as hell. I did watch a front of black clouds blow thru to the south. It is blue skies to the West now.
  3. You are not the only one. I am a fisherman, but not a hunter. I fish local lakes for Largemouth, Fox Chain for Muskie and Lake Michigan for Salmon and Lake Trout. I am hoping to head up to the Northwoods this summer for some Muskie too. I have also started to Fly fish for Bass on the local ponds. Fun Stuff.
  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't understand that.
  5. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Mar 18, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) El Duque Vs. Angel Guzman... Did they change the matchup, it was supposed to be Guzman vs Garland.
  6. No Contest...The Blues Brothers!!!
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:47 AM) Thanks for the advice! Someone else suggested the site, but I was looking at Milwaukee during the pre season games up there, and no one had listed any prices up there. I am bookmarking the site though. I took a look at BFT and there are listings for 3* hotels in downtown Milwaukee(not sure if this is the zone you were looking at). One person got the downtown Milwaukee Wyndham for $38 per night and another got the downtown Milwaukee Hilton for $45 per night. There are listings further down for people who got the downtown Hyatt for $42 -$46 per night. On Orbitz, the Hyatt is listed from $99 per night. Hilton from $129 per night and Wyndham from $109 per night. I am not sure what your priceline bid was, but this is what others got the hotels for.
  8. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) But isn't Priceline set up to where you book BEFORE you get to see the travel details? In other words, if they match your bid, you are stuck with whatever they give you. Yes it is...That's why you need to go to Biddingfortravel.com to do your research BEFORE you bid on Priceline. It is a resource and guide for what others paid. It lists out the hotels that you are liable to get on Priceline(in a specific zone), so you can do some leg work youself by checking out if the hotels they offer are acceptable for you. If they are, then you are set to save some big money, like I did for my sister-in-law. It is a great tool so that you don't overbid on something or bid on something that isn't what you expected. If you have a specific hotel that you HAVE to stay in, then priceline isn't the best option. If you are in search of a destination, but don't have a specific hotel in mind, then priceline is a great option. Odds are if I didn't use it, my sister-in-law would have ended up in the Carribean(Nice, but not Hawaii) for the same price or more. Another time I should have used it was for a trip to Clearwater Beach a few years ago. The rooms we had cost us $159 a night thru Travelocity. If I would have checked bidding for travel and used Priceline, I would have gotten into the Hilton for $40 per night(I am sure of this because several other people got this rate thru priceline). Both hotels are beachfront and actually the Hilton is in a better location. Again, if you do your research and leg work, you won't get burned and will save a ton of $$$$$.
  9. Southsider, take a look at biddingfortravel.com. It is a site that lists out what people paid for their rooms/airfare/cars on priceline. They have an excellent FAQ which addresses bidding, re-bidding and general tips about priceline. It is broken down between Air, Hotel, vacations and rental cars. They do list out the zone's and what hotels are in those zones. This can be used to your advantage with the issue you are having. Let's say you are bidding on a 4* hotel in Clearwater Beach, for example, and don't get it for the price you bid. You can look and see if there are any in the St. Pete zone. If there aren't, you could add that zone to your bid. That would be a change to your bid, but since there aren't any in that zone, you would never get a hotel there and would still get a second shot at bidding the zone you want to be in. **** Before you do this type of thing, make sure to go to biddingfortravel.com and read up on it. I don't want you to get screwed if you make a mistake. ******* They also have a service where they ask you to fill out a template for them and then you can ask for "bidding assistance". They will use their experience to suggest the price you should bid. Again, make sure to read up on this before doing it. I booked my sister-in-law's honeymoon using priceline and we got her a room on Kanaapali beach in the Sheraton for $140 a night. The rack rate is $270 a night. If you know how to use priceline and know the tricks, it is a GREAT thing and a GREAT way to save alot of money. If you need more info about this, just PM me.

I meant new in the WWE! Nothing is ever "New" anymore. It's all been done.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) Several weeks ago, there was a PPV plug for a steel cage match involving Big Show. Now, this is a good example of bad marketing cojoined with terrible scheduling. How the hell can you include the oaf formely named Big Show in a cage match? Did anyone expect him to climb the base, or add any interesting elements to this matchup? You are missing the fact that it was a barbed wire cage match. They strung hoops of "razor" wire at the top of the cage to keep the 2 guys in while also keeping the other guys out. And he actually did do something new. He chokeslammed JBL thru the floor of the ring and onto the floor. Which unfortunately gave JBL the win, since the objective of a WWE cage match is to be the first one to the floor.
  12. The last 20 laps were AWESOME!!! All the lead changes, a few wrecks , Stewart didn't win it and Jeff did. And can't forget a GREAT job by Jimmie Johnson, blocking the outside lane. He was HUGE!!! Great way to start the season.
  13. I hate the idea of a shootout, but love the idea of hockey being back. The main thing they need to do is to CALL THE RULES in the books now. Don't let them get away with all the hooking and grabbing. Call it and keep calling it. If a stick gets up around the waist...Penalty. If a hand grabs a jersey...Penalty. No matter how much or how little. To increase scoring, they could also shrink the size of the goalies pads. Bigger curves on the sticks. Ray Ferraro said it today. Increase scoring. And I will be there with CWSguy...cheering on the Hawks.
  14. There are 3 things I would do immediately: 1. Fold the packers franchise and strike all of thier records from history. 2. Fold the Red Wings franchise and strike all of thier records from history. 3. Fold the cubs franchise and strike all of thier records from history. Once that is done, then I would cap all athletes salaries. I don't know the exact figure yet, but it would be different for each sport. Then I would cap the price owners charge for a seat at their teams event. It would be in line with the reduced salary for players. Finally, I would cap the price of Parking for these events. There is no way parking should cost as much as the ticket.
  15. This is hilarious. A guy is leaving a voicemail for his boss because he is going to be late to work. As he is doing this, there is an accident in front of him. Then all hell breaks loose. * Dead link taken out*
  16. I know I would have went to hell of alot more games.
  17. Screw that. 2005 World Champions - Chicago White Sox!!!
  18. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 10:17 PM) I'm too sexy!! I forget the performer... That was Right Said Fred.
  19. Most of you are too young to remember him, but Buddy Hackett was one of the best. Don't forget Eddie Murphy, either!!!!
  20. I believe it was in '83, but maybe '84. We were sitting in the lower deck in Left Field. Luzinski crushed a Roof shot. Next up Kittle crushed another Roof shot. Followed by the Wimperoo, Tom Paciorek hitting a normal homer to left. Not often you get to see Back to Back to Back, let alone Back to Back roof shots. Another time that same year we were sitting in the same area when a homerun went just over my head and into the lap of the lady sitting behind me. Not caring, about 6 guys just reach into her lap, grabbing for the ball. And anything else they could grab.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 1, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) How would taking money away from the tollway make it better? The tolls only go towards the tollway, not other roads. Seems like tolls are a fair method of having the users pay for what they use. Wrong!!! The tolls on I-90 don't go back into I-90, they go into the tollway fund, which is used for many things, including building new toll roads that I don't and will probably never use. Do you think they built that palatial HQ with their own $$$? Nope it was from tolls. They are abusing the system and lining their pockets at the same time. It is corrupt and wasteful.
