Dunno if this counts for anything but look at Gammons' latest Diamond Notes. "The White Sox are reportedly zooming back in on Colon" Also a possible option for 2nd if we don't resign Robbie Alomar. "The Twins have to pare payroll so they can try to re-sign Shannon Stewart and either Everyday Eddie Guardado or Hawkins. They have talked to Toronto about Orlando Hudson, as have the Indians, Red Sox and several teams." "The White Sox have been looking for a shortstop so they can move Jose Valentin to second. Whither Roberto Alomar?"

No suprise really, I think this is where he'll be in 2004. Angels: The Los Angeles Times wrote the strongest words so far about the Angels' pursuit of right-hander Bartolo Colon, calling Colon the team's "top target among free agents" and saying the Angels are "a prime contender." The Times quoted Colon's agent, Mitch Frankel, as saying he has met with GM Bill Stoneman and the Angels are one of five teams in the running. "For him, there's a lot of interest," Frankel told the Times. "The Angels are a great organization. They have a new owner. They're trying to win a championship. It's a very positive place." The Times then speculated about what the Angels might do with Colon in the fold. "The Angels believe they can afford to sign Colon and Minnesota outfielder Shannon Stewart," the Times wrote. But also the Yanks r still afta him. Yankees: The New York Times quoted "a person with knowledge of the plans" saying that the Yankees are hoping to acquire two of these three starters: Andy Pettitte, Bartolo Coln and Javier Vazquez. ... I wonder if one of the five teams in contention though r the White Sox?

Well at least he ain't goin Dirt Bike riding again. The White Sox’s Aaron Rowand is also playing for Santurce, whose home ballpark is Hiram Bithorn Stadium where the Expos played 22 home games in 2003. Rowand is coming off a season in which he batted .287 with six homers and 24 RBIs. Also Armando Rios is playin winter ball again but I don't think he's comin back.
-
But don't expect these guys to be playin with da White Sox next year. Out of the 4, Meaux would hav da best chance but he's stuck behind Munoz and Dave Danders as well. MLB Article

Interesting read, mayb could be used as trade bait if he can't make it with da big team again. Gload Article

Man O Man, I picked Weekes and Di Pietro to be my goalies for my fantasy team over Denis cos Columbus were playin da Red Wings, and what happens, Denis records a shutout, and Di Pietro and Weekes both lose.

Uhh no Heather, it's the General Sports Forum for sure.

Bergkamp can't even get a game with Arsenal now with Henry, Wiltord and even Kanu ahead of him. He's past his prime for sure. And Davids is good, but in my opinion he isn't a match winner. Guys like Duff and Kewell can single handledy turn a game on its shoulders with their dribbling and finishing skills.

I hate to get 1 of Hil especially afta seein urs, and the travesty of the Hot Chick Contest.

Ok I'm in 2.

1) Ronaldo was only good when he was young in his PSV Eidenhoven and Barcelona days. His knees r pretty screwed. 2) Rivaldo can't even get a game with AC Milan at the moment. He's tryin to get to Liverpool but no-one wants to pay his wage demands. 2 years ago, he would be a top 5 playa, easily. 3) Figo is like 32 now, past his prime and not in the starting team any more as Beckham's taken his place. 4) Vieri's a good striker but guys like Crespo and Van Nistelrooj r just a little bit betta with their skills on the ground. 5) Del Piero is easily overrated ever since he blew his knee bout 5 years ago he hasn't been the same silky smooth playa since. 6) Owen is too small, can't hold the ball up, needs a powerful striker e.g Heskey or Diouf to play well.
-
Ok here is my top 10 in no particular order. 1) Ruud Van Nistelrooj 2) Thierry Henry 3) Andrey Shevchenko 4) Rio Ferdinand 5) Damien Duff 6) Hernan Crespo 7) Rafael Van de Vaart 8) Patrick Kluivert 9) David Beckham 10) Harry Kewell

His power numbers will decrease at Safeco though.
