  1. Ronaldinho needs to get out of Barcelona or he needs Rijkaard to leave. Fabregas has played better this season IMHO. Probably best central midfielder in the world right now, he's become that good.
  2. I'd say Fabregas is one of the top 5 players in the world actually SoxFan1. His standing in England has risen HUGELY this season. Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka and Fabregas argubly the top 4 players in the world right now, and they're all 25 or under.
  3. I think Montoya's a more highly rated prospect though than Crawford. It's only because of Lundqvist / Weekes that he hasn't gotten an opportunity yet. If the price was right I would certainly look at it, because if you aren't going to trade Khabibulin, someone will have replace him after the 09 season, most likely.
  4. Yeah I've mentioned Montoya before. He's a guy I'd look at. A Malik and Montoya deal maybe? Anyone not named Toews or Kane should probably be available in a trade for the right deal.
  5. This time next year, Harris will probably be the better PG. He's certainly better defensively IMHO, than Kidd. But the Mavs are going to get Stackhouse back when he's bought out by the Nets, and there's an Antoine Wright for a 2nd rounder deal also supossedly happening. Now they've somehow got to trade Vince Carter, so they can start the rebuilding. Harris is an excellent get for them though.
  6. Lowry's more of a PG though. Navarro's basically an undersized combo guard who can shhot the 3 very well. Lowry would be a perfect backup PG for a LOT of teams. Could probably be a starter also. You'd need to deal one of Hinrich and Duhon most likely though (does Duhon have an ending deal, because then it could work).
  7. I mean people here saw what happened to Jose Contreras 1st hand last season. It was only because of his numbers in August and September that he didn't finish up with an ERA above 6. Hernandez has less in the tank IMHO. He's moving from the NL, and into a division where you've got at least 2 top 5 offensive teams argubly in baseball in Detroit and Cleveland, while the Sox could easily rebound, and the Royals are getting a little better. Unfortunately that's the current market for veteran starting pitching. Shows how important it is to develop your own.
  8. Happy B-Day 101! Maybe the Bulls can make you GM instead of Paxson for a day.
  9. Hopefully for his sake, he can have a nice consistemt season in Oakland if he gets an opportunity. A few years back, he was a very dangerous hitter for the Royals.
  10. The Twins should have just gone with one of their young starters such as Glen Perkins, and use the $5M more wisely (e.g on relievers, a hitter for their lineup). Instead they've signed a starter, who in the AL Central could put up a 6.00 ERA this season. Really don't like the move from the Twinkies perspective.
  11. Texas is really going to be the wildcard down the stretch. If Obama can do well there, he may just have enough delegates. Does he need to win it though, or will a close loss be enough (depending on Ohio's result)?
  12. Since the Magic can't trade their 1st rounder for Haslem in 08, the best they could offer is Redick, Garrity and an 09 1st rounder. We may just go after Wilcox if we can get him for simply expiring contracts. Oh and SVG called out Dwight Howard yesterday, said he needed to focus more on defense and rebounding and not on offense. Interesting situation building up there in Orlando.

    Blue Jeans

QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 9, 2008 -> 11:38 AM) attn: DBAH0 How easy is it to get ksubi jeans in Austraila and much do they cost ($US)? Here they are near impossible to get and expensive as hell I'll do some research for you 3E8 and find out. I've heard of the brand before, but not sure of the price etc. off the top of my head. As for the jeans, I'm strictly a levi's man. Got 2 pairs at the Levi's Outlet in Phoenix when I was there a few years ago. Got a dark blue (really not sure why now), and a lighter blue pair, which I wear pretty much all of the time when I'm going out and wearing long pants. I need to get a few more pairs though.
  14. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 12, 2008 -> 05:45 AM) Men at Work - Down Under (Good song, dumb video) "I come from a land down under!!! You better run, you better take cover!!!" Boy have I heard that song too many times over the years.

    Forgetfulness

Every-time I lock up whether it's at home or my car, I inevitably go back and check it again. I think it's more worrisome than forgetsulness though. There's a bit of history in my family of forgetfulness developing though.
  17. I think there's something in the olympic charter about not being able to make accusations about a country or something etc., or at least that's what I heard on the radio this morning.
  18. Havlat only played 4Mins according to Yahoo. Any reason? Tough loss, but when you get outshot by 16, you probably should be thankful to get a point on the road.
  19. Hmm I would certainly look at that deal for sure. Those players mentioned now aren't a part of our rotation, and our 1st rounder is only going to be in the 20's this season most likely. How well did Haslem play under SVG palehosefan? I heard Riley had an interest in Redick because of his shooting ability, and being a possible replacement for Kapono. Williams I would offer to Memphis for Miller and Lowry (throw in a future 1st, or something else etc.). As an $8M expiring contract, he should certainly have some value (although he's likely headed to Orlando in the off-season, since Arroyo is gone, and they may possibly deal Nelson and have a Williams / Dooling combo at PG). Ricky Davis I think you're stuck with. That was just a horrible deal by Riley. Yes Walker is not good, but now you're stuck with Blount and Davis for another 2-3 seasons.
  20. Actually, if Larry Brown was coaching New York and they had Wallace, they'd be a .500 team IMHO. I mean he made Allen Iverson work in Philly and winning the East, because they had that big shot blocking center in Mutumbo. But they'd have to get rid of Marbury and bring in an actual PG (Jamaal Tinsley?). Also there are some rumors we're going after Udonis Haslem. If we acquired him, I think we could actually win the East this season. A Howard - Haslem - Lewis - Hedo - Nelson lineup looks pretty studly.
  21. Do the Cubs have enough young pitching though to get Roberts, if they're not going to include Pie. Does the Sox's offer above beat that (although obviously the O's should take minor league talent and rebuild).
  22. Were there any polls for Texas, and how many delegates up for grabs there? Obviously, Obama would have to make some in-roads in the Latino vote you'd think.
