Please make a trade here for Green here Orlando.
-
Frye = Michael Doleac.

QUOTE(Spiff @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) Come on Isiah, screw up for us. Andrew Bynum. That would be hilarious.
-
QUOTE(Spiff @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:13 AM) Trade coming? Raptors fans better hope so. My guess is for Jamaal Magliore.
-
Rod Babcock has just moved from an idiot to a retard.
-
This is great. Magic end up with one of Wright, Granger or Green hopefully.
-
Villenueva. Wow.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) His defense is bad, so is green's defense. Here comes green to toronto. Green or Granger. Or Magliore.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) Are you guys seriously missing the Sox game for this??? I don't have the Sox game.

Hear Andy Katz on Webster's defense in the workout against McCants there qwerty?
-
Here comes Webster to the Blazers. Oh, and I will puke if the Lakers end up with Green.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:49 AM) Marvin williams to atlanta is a stupid ass pick. Goodbye Al Harrington.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) Your too funny for your own good. I can only see Toronto picking him before the Lakers.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:27 AM) I highly doubt the Lakers draft Green. Who else are they gonna draft if Felton is off the board? Best player available.
-
Also if Green is gonna slip to #10, the Magic have got to trade up to #9 to nab him ahead of the Lakers. Give the Warriors a 2nd rounder to get the deal done, and they can still get Diogu.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:09 AM) The bobcats will not take green, they will take felton. The blazers may like webster better but blazer fans could possibly end up killing the blazers gm if they draft him, they all want green. He wowed them with his defense? They are both weak defensively, but green has a much better chance of improving defensively that webster, in my opinion. Frye is not worthy of the 8th pick but i agree he will go to them, diogu = eh. Personally I think Charlotte is insane for taking Felton over Green. The thing on Webster was according to ESPN yesterday and IIRC there was an article or 2 about it on his defense, as he worked out against smaller, quicker guards. I hope the Magic end up with one of Wright, Felton (if he slips) Granger or Villenueva. I don't want Sean May or Joey Graham.
-
Yikes why is Dick Vitale on, get him off now.
-
Pretty sure the Bobcats could take Green at #5, unless they take Felton then Green could slide down to #10. The Blazers like Martell Webster better anyway, he wowed them with a workout with his defense. The Raptors will probably take Danny Granger or Antoine Wright at #7. Channing Frye will go #8 to the Knicks. Looks like the Warriors have settled on Diogu at #9 according to nbadraft.net.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) We get Haren/Harden/Zito out there.... Oakland has been about the best team in baseball (save the Nats) since the calender turned to June. They have, no doubt, been the best pitching staff in baseball since the calender changed to June (2.98 ERA). Haren and Harden are horses. They're fricken good. Zito, well he's got a Cy Young. That's going to be one hella tough series. And the likes of Nick Swisher are really starting to swing the bat well now. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) Well there is a couple of things: Obviously right now Ryan has displayed no power but I think within the next year or two he should fill out a bit more and add some power and what also is going to help is getting out of the met, Sweeney might not ever have a ton of power but he'll hit some homers in my opinion. The main reason though I like Sweeney over Anderson is just his swing to be honest. Sweeney has one of the beautiful smooth swings. His bat just comes through the zone flawlessly, obviously this is jmo but I do think Ryan will be a better player a few years down the road. Sweeney has the potential to hit over .300 in the majors, and hit for 20 to 25 homers a season. Anderson is more of a .270/.280 guy with the same sort of power. Also Anderson has a K/BB ratio of 78/30. Sweeney's is 26/20.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) I always see around here sweeney> anderson. Why is that, because he is younger? Anderson > sweeney in my opnion and it's not really that close. Because long - term in the majors Sweeney has the potential to be an all - star. I think Anderson will be a very good player, but he won't be a superstar. Sweeney has the chance to.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) "Top prospects may be on the move Contending clubs might deal Minor stars for big-league talent" http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb How in the hell does Arnie Munoz have any trade value? On Munoz, he's still young, had success in September last season in the pen, and possesses a wicked curveball. Some team will want him considering he's a lefty. And I'd take Josh Fields off that list and put Gio Gonzalez on. But I expect to see Sean Tracey dealt, considering he's wild as a starter, is in the higher levels, and well we'll trade for somebody.

There was a Fawlty Towers marathon one of the channels here yesterday = Good Watching.

QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 12:18 PM) Hey, you never know. When a team is looking for ML players, they might take a guy who can play in MLB right now over a prospect who could be a few years away still. Chavez makes a lot of money, and hasn't hit well this year. He'd be getting ripped apart by some people here were he on the White Sox. That wasn't really even my point though. My point was that Chavez isn't even a possibility. 29 other MLB teams would NOT think Timo Perez is a MLB player. Unfortunately we're not one of them. Comparing Sweeney to Perez is like comparing a Corona to a cheap Mongolian Beer. And on Chavez; 1) He's a slow starter 2) Check his June splits 3) He hits half his games in Oakland, where it is VERY hard to hit a HR. But with the way the A's have played lately, they're not dealing Zito or Chavez.
