  1. Look at Andy Reid wolfing down a hot-dog. Owens Cartoon
  2. Tampa only offered Galloway 1 year for 1 mill, his agent rejected it.
  3. There hav been some rumors on sum Cowboys message boards about David Terrell coming to Dallas in exchange for Joey Galloway and probably a draft pick. This is mainly because of Henson goin to Dallas. Frankly I think da Bears are stupid if they even consider this.
  4. Cubune article coming up plus a Joe Crede daughter update, MESA, Ariz. -- Whenever the topic of White Sox center fielder is raised, everyone is mentioned but the starter. Aaron Rowand ha7d three hits Saturday to lift his spring average to .571 in 21 at-bats. "I think [Rowand] has been the best player we've had in spring training overall," Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. "He's stealing bases, making the plays in the outfield and having good at-bats. He's my center fielder right now." But Rowand constantly hears he will lose the job to Joe Borchard, Jeremy Reed or Brian Anderson. And anytime a center fielder is on the trading block, the Sox inevitably are mentioned as a team that would be interested. "I really don't care," Rowand said of the speculation. "I'm just going to go out and play my game every day and let the chips fall where they may." Speaking of Borchard … Not wanting to risk him being hurt at the start of the season, the Sox are going to give Borchard time to rest his left quad. Borchard hasn't played since being a DH Wednesday. He has had just three at-bats this spring with two hits. The limited at-bats Borchard will get the rest of spring make it likely he'll begin the season in Triple-A Charlotte. Odds and ends Miguel Olivo was originally in the starting lineup but had some lower abdominal pain because of kidney stones and didn't play. … Maybe it was just a coincidence, but Neal Cotts drilled the Cubs' Nic Jackson with a pitch a couple innings after Jackson went hard into second baseman Willie Harris on a force-out. … Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf was in attendance. Frank Thomas, Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Lee were not. … Of Jose Valentin's first eight hits this spring, six are for extra bases—two homers, two triples and two doubles for a 1.000 slugging percentage. Crede's daughter OK Guillen said Joe Crede's daughter, Anna, is doing well after being hit with a foul ball Friday. "I think they have to wake her every two, three hours, but everything is OK," said Guillen, who gave Crede Saturday off. …
  5. From our friends at da Cubune, MESA, Ariz. -- On Easter Sunday in New York, the White Sox will call on their fifth starter for the first time this season. Barring a meltdown in the next couple weeks, Dan Wright is likely to get the ball. Wright took another step toward claiming the fifth starter spot Saturday against the Cubs with his third good outing. Wright pitched into the fifth inning—the longest stint yet for a Sox starter—and allowed two runs on four hits, including a Sammy Sosa home run in the first. "I was able to throw all my pitches and I had pretty good command," Wright said. "We made some nice plays on some hard hit balls." White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen is cautious about naming either Wright or Jason Grilli as his fifth starter. Those two seem to have separated themselves from Neal Cotts and Jon Rauch. "I can't make a crazy move and then a couple weeks later he doesn't throw the ball the way we want and have to change my mind," Guillen said. Sox pitching coach Don Cooper said a big difference for Wright so far this season is his health. Wright injured his elbow late in spring training last season and then had knee problems later in the season. Now the arm is fine and, except for icing his surgically repaired right knee, he's healthy. "I think I cleaned up my mechanics a little bit," Wright said. "That's helping me stay around the plate more. When I get in trouble it's because I'm behind hitters or walking hitters." He walked one Saturday and has given up three walks in 92/3 innings. The two earned runs lifted his ERA to 2.79. "He's having a nice spring," Cooper said of Wright. "We needed more strikes and more stuff and he's not disappointing right now." Cooper credited the competition for the fifth spot for lifting up everyone's game. Although he was saddled with the 4-3 loss Saturday, Cotts gave up only one run on one hit in three innings with three strikeouts. Grilli has given up three runs in seven innings in two outings. His next outing will be Monday against Colorado. The Sox will have a day off Thursday and Guillen said he might have a decision by then. He wants to let whoever wins the job have a couple weeks to get ready. Wright and Cotts will work in intrasquad games Thursday against Sox minor leaguers. "We're going to continue to run everybody out there to get them more work," Cooper said. The decision will be Guillen's first major one as manager. "I don't want to talk to Ozzie too much about it, I want him to see for himself," Cooper said. "I don't want him to be swayed by my thoughts."

  8. I couldn't care less who wins the NCAA Tournament even though I hope the Spartans win cos they got a cool mascot, but there is no way in hell I'd want da Scrubs to win da world series.
  9. A bunch of Cub Scouts? Don't forget to use your nails boys.
  10. Exactly the type of performance Neal needs to have in spring training if he wants that 5th starters jobs. The most important thing for him is to throw strikes and not give up many walks, and he did that very well today.

    How happy are you?

It's not down to me. That's what I ended up with, I don't think that's good.
  14. That was easily the most funniest race I hav ever seen. He was at least 20 to 30m behind, had given up all hope, and then the first 3 skaters all trip otha each otha at the final bend, and Bradbury just glides thru and rasies his arms in the arm, while the others are crawling towards the finish line. This automatically made him our 1st eva winter gold medallist and a national hero.
  15. Neva on here much at all, except for when the Winter Olympics was on, which we got millions of replays of Steve Bradley winnin the speed skatin, which would be the flukiest victory of all time.
  16. I see Sweeney had 2 hits today, damn he's goin to be good. Also, I think Gload is pretty much a certainity to make the 25 man roster now.
  17. Nah I don't think I can get up at about 6, even though it's a game against da Scrubs, it's still only a pre - season game. I couldn't care if they kicked our asses tomorrow, if we could beat em durin da regular season.

  21. LOL, Yeah it was me. Hopefully guys like Borchard and Reed will make it for the White Sox and not for another team.
  22. The dancing Colons is a classic. Soona or later we'll hav sum Krispy Kreme donuts and cheesburgers around too.
  23. From da Cubune, TUCSON, Ariz. -- The mystery behind the "dead" White Sox dugout in the final innings of Thursday's exhibition loss was solved Friday. It was Sandy Alomar Jr.'s fault. "I was there for five innings," Alomar said. "I wasn't supposed to be there, but I stayed to watch our guys and everything was fine. When I left, I guess the energy was gone." One day after he voiced his first criticism of the Sox, manager Ozzie Guillen was in a better frame of mind after Friday's 12-9 victory over the Anaheim Angels, even though the Sox saw an 8-1 lead disappear and had to rally with a four-run eighth. "If we played five innings every spring training [game] we would be undefeated," Guillen said. "I talked to them this morning. I'm not going to be the type of manager who is going to blast any of my players in the papers. I just told them we have to do the little things and play with enthusiasm." Friday's victory halted a four-game skid in which Guillen said his team lacked energy. The Sox had been building up leads with their regular lineup. But in exhibition games things tend to get a little out of control once the minor-leaguers take over. "We're all a part of the team, but we have guys who end up in the game with a lot less experience," shortstop Jose Valentin said. "I feel good with the way the regular guys are doing their job." That was case again Friday when the regulars unloaded on Anaheim starter Jarrod Washburn for four runs and six hits in two innings. The Sox led 8-1 after three innings when Guillen started making his substitutions. Even though most of the recent losses have come with young players who won't be heading north, Alomar said Guillen was right to crack the whip early. "You can't wait until the last week of spring training," Alomar said. "That's what he was trying to say. Because if you start getting an attitude like that, it's like turning a switch on and off. You can't do that." Sox bits: Scott Schoeneweis had an impressive four-inning outing with two runs, four hits and seven strikeouts. The strikeouts were out of character for Schoeneweis. "I don't expect them," he said. "I like to be much more economical in my pitches." Schoeneweis is throwing mostly changeups and cut fastballs and isn't featuring his sinker yet. … Joe Crede's infant daughter, Anna, was hit in the head with a foul ball Friday. Medical personnel on the scene checked the baby and Crede and his wife, Lisa, took her to see a physician. "You don't want anyone to get hit," said Guillen, who accompanied Crede into the stands to check on the girl. "Right now I think she's fine." … Saturday will be Guillen's first crack at the Cubs as a manager. "To me it's another game," he said. "I'm happy to go see Dusty Baker. I'm going to see Derrek Lee and Todd Hollandsworth. They were with me last year and I'm looking forward to seeing those guys."
