That's gonna be a whole lot of typin. Thanx for postin it though, I always wanted to learn more but things such as the Rule 5 draft and stuff like that that's hard to find.

Only when I hav a filling , but I only go once a year and I haven't had braces so I'm glad for that.

Hmm Baez will either be a closer or a starter in Tampa Bay, more likely the former, great pickup for them. To win 70 games isn't out of the question for em in 2004. Padres were desperate to get rid of Jarvis but I dunno takin on Cirillo was the best option.

Good job BEGOOD on ur praise there.

That's a cool hat he's got on.

There ain't much betta than Palmeiro on the 1B market at the moment. I'm suprised the Dodgers haven't gone more heavily afta him. Spiezio would hav been nice but he signed with the Mariners.

Finally sum more news, White Sox general manager Ken Williams did something novel over the holidays: He went on vacation. He said it was his first one in six years. But Williams was so restless on his Caribbean cruise, he checked the Internet every day to keep up on e-mail, baseball news and trade rumors. "That was the most fun part of the trip," he said. "I also returned some calls at about $10 a minute." But those calls are unlikely to lead to a deal, certainly not a major one. Rumors surfaced over the weekend that the Sox were close to sending Paul Konerko to the Dodgers, but both sides disputed that and doubt it will happen. The major issue is money. The Dodgers won't take Konerko unless the Sox pick up a sizable amount of the $16.75 million he's due over the next two seasons. And the Dodgers have no desire to give up lefty Odalis Perez, 26, a clubhouse nuisance who nonetheless is young, left-handed and 27-22 over the last two seasons. Sources say the Dodgers would part with right-hander Jeff Weaver. But Weaver is due $15.5 million over the next two years, and the Sox would insist that the Dodgers pick up enough salary to allow them to acquire a replacement for Konerko, namely Rafael Palmeiro. Palmeiro, 39, hit just .260 for Texas last season but still cranked 38 homers and drove in 112 runs. But at this point, Williams is content to hold his cards. "I'll stand pat before we do something to weaken ourselves," he said. Williams said he plans to talk with Konerko at spring training in case the 27-year-old first baseman is upset that his name surfaced in trade rumors all winter. "I'd prefer that none of these things get out [in public]," Williams said. "But he's a pro and he understands the nature of the game. I apologize in advance to the players, but they know I will explore every avenue to make the team better." Williams is confident that Konerko will rebound from a miserable 2003 season. A year after making the All-Star team and driving in 104 runs, Konerko slumped to a .197 average in the season's first half. Despite performing well in July (.342, seven homers) and August (.301), Konerko finished with career lows in all three major categories (.234, 18, 65). Konerko is famously hard on himself, so Williams was pleased to hear that the Arizona native will get married this month. "When you're in the middle of planning a wedding," he said, "there's not too much time to worry about what transpired [a year ago]. This is a guy who will hit. You look at his whole career since Little League, and that was the first time he struggled. He's going to have a good year." Alomar update: Roberto Alomar is said to be close to signing a one-year deal with Arizona. The second baseman and the Sox parted ways last month after the Sox lowered their one-year offer to $1 million plus $1 million deferred without interest.

He prob got offered a 2 year deal, but me thinks Karva will share sum playin time with him ova there.

Hence why Miles was traded for Uribe, Ozzie wants speed on da bases especially from his infielders. I don't like what they said bout Harris, we need a backup guy who can hit lefties which is what Tony G. did. I don't agree with what they said bout Rowand, give him a full season but I dunno if he's durable enough to last it or not. Wunsch if healthy will be a big part of our bullpen, his early numbers last year were insane.

I wonder how much they r offerin him. My guess is b/w 3 and 4 mill.

Bulls win 87-82. 11th win of da season.

Brunson is so bad, he played in the national league down here for a couple of years. Nice to see Hinrich has 19, Bulls up by 4, with the Junkyard dog shootin 1 at da line.
-
Well it is home of the Fantasy Hockey thread, includin the countless trade offa's b/w myself, tony and southsider.
-
I just picked up Hinrich for my fantasy team a week ago. Hopefully he keeps puttin up some good no's.

I'm pretty sure we were. This is a great oppurtunity for da Tribe to sneak in and win da division. I'd go afta Pudge or a big name starter if I were them.
-
Spivey was still gonna be shopped around last time I heard. Could be a guy to go afta if we ship out sum payroll. Good situation for Alomar in Arizona, a chance to win now.
-
A nice get for Cleveland to help em replace Baez in da bullpen with Wickman now closing.

By April and the all the rosters being set, who...

Too many ppl r underestimatin the Indians in my opinion. With the division bein as weak as it is, it could be a 4 not a 3 team race for da crown. -
Yeah that's what I meant in da 1st place. Knicks hav been tryin to dump Moochie on da Cavs for Miles but they haven't been buyin. But Z's contract runs out in 2 years but Penny's finishes in 3, so I'm not so sure they'd do it now. Plus major reason Suns did this was they want a shot at Kobe Bryant in FA.

I wonder if he made her sign a Pre Nup?

Zimmer ArticleTalk about a suprising candidate, hav a look at this. Mike Zimmer the DC of da Boys, I'd hate to lose him.

Yeah a nightly commentary or sumthin on this thread would be nice.

Puh-lease. Every1 hates Boras.

Too bad he doesn't look like George.

Keep us updated Willie, I can only hope Konerko's on his way to LA.
