2nd base is still a total black hole for a team this good.

The Sox put too much weight on the extra year of team control with Kimbrel and Cesar. I hope that's something they keep in mind when making acquisitions this winter and at the deadline next year. Just acquire the best players you can and figure the rest out later.

Cesar is literally the worst 2nd basemen I've ever seen at turning double plays. How many mistakes has he made on them over the last 6 weeks?

I think he definitely would have gotten in the 7+ WAR range, at least. And his defense would be a lot better if he were running at 100%.

I think both guys are/will be really good, honestly. Would be thrilled to have either one.

Robert is so good holy hell

The average start now is barely over 5 innings. If Lopez can consistently go 3-4 innings with this level of stuff, that's really valuable.

After every start Lynn is telling the media his knee isn't right. I'm paraphrasing a little bit, but after his last start he said his knee wasn't something that would improve until after the season is over. Forcing him to labor like this in a game you've already lost, that means nothing, makes absolutely 0 sense.

I thought the reason you hire a Hall of Famer manager is to prevent the exact type of baseball we've seen over the last 3 months.

Forcing Lynn to wear the defensive embarrassing themselves like this makes 0 sense.

The level of pitching depth in their minor leagues right now is incredible. Cleveland has waves of pitchers like this coming through their pipeline.

For better and for worse, Lynn isn't the guy who will pitch around anyone. Ever.

He's one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball. An ERA over 5 with peripherals to match. This offense should be hitting him.

There's a very good reason hitters never go from High-A to the majors.

It shouldn't be when you're facing Eli Morgan.

This ship has probably sailed, but if the Sox are looking for a bat only option at DH Yermin is probably a better hitter than Vaughn right now.

Remarkable that with all of the corner OF/1B bats in this organization the Sox might not have a single DH option that can give them a ~110 wRC+.
