  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2016 -> 03:52 PM) For 2 months of Reddick....no way do you trade Anderson or Fulmer Total Kenny deal. Thank God he doesn't run trades.
  2. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ May 10, 2016 -> 03:49 PM) If the Sox aren't willing to give up Anderson or Fulmer, they'll likely get out-bid. The Sox have the payroll flexibility, but not the trade pieces right now. Plus, if I were Hahn, I'd be more worried about a replacement for Danks. Latos is coming back to Earth and Miguel Gonzalez is going to take the Sox out of games every now and again. I'm not sure I would part with Anderson or Fulmer.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2016 -> 03:46 PM) C. Trent Rosecrans @ctrent Bryan Price said Mesoraco had surgery today, damage was worse than anticipated. Recovery now at 6 mos. That's saying something considering how well most surgeries go in the MLB these days. 6 months. Yikes.
  4. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 10, 2016 -> 12:43 PM) My twitter timeline is talking about Mike Trout to the Cubs because of a dumbass Julie DiCaro tweet. She said they'd be interested. The same way i'd be interested in having sex with Scarlett Johansson. I have the utmost respect for Julie DiCaro...but ouch. That makes 0 sense.
  5. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 10, 2016 -> 03:31 PM) MLB lightened Mondesi's suspesion after he showed that what he popped hot for was in cold medicine. I dont buy it either. Yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense. If it were in cold medicine, Mondesi didn't do anything wrong.
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ May 10, 2016 -> 02:44 PM) The whole 45 first half stolen bases for scotty pods was pretty crazy. Probably around this time when a similar game happened where we were trailing or came back to tie. Pods got on base. Stole second. Bunt to third. Driven home. Sox win. It was just automatic with him on the base paths. I had way higher confidence on that team. But, I do feel really good late when Eaton comes up and knowing what comes behind him. That's something I just can't imagine happening unless you have a guy like Hamilton. Stealing is such a gamble at this point. That was spectacular.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 10, 2016 -> 02:39 PM) 30% on the year. It's getting a bit weird. I can't complain about the overall production, but putting a guy who's striking out 30% of the time in the 2 hole sounds like a bad idea. Are we talking about Avi or Lawrie?
  8. Maybe it's just that I'm used to the White Sox teams that can't defend, but I'm hesitant to do anything at 23-10.
  9. Everything about Pens-Caps I like I feel like I hate about the DAL-STL series. Dallas plays a fun style of hockey, but they do not match up well with the Blues and the Blues play the worst brand of hockey.
  10. Got the out. Runner advanced.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:28 PM) Oh come on Abreu That would have been an excellent play. He missed. Whatever.
  12. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:19 PM) With your #3 and 4 hitters coming up. Get real dude we would've gotten an extra run this inning if he could. Inability to sacrifice bunt costs us a run. The 90s are over. The value of an out is better understood than ever.
  13. That's why you never bunt. Seriously.
  14. QUOTE (Scoots @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:14 PM) What are you kidding me? It's called sacrifice. Ever hear of a runner on 2nd with no one out and hitting a ball to the right side to advance the runner? You should NEVER generate an out. If Rollins would have bunted there, the inning is already over.
  15. QUOTE (Scoots @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:12 PM) Well, bunting is not generally pretty dumb. It can actually be extremely effective, when executed well. It's just that generally most situations don't call for players to bunt. When you are talking about the White Sox, yes bunting is generally pretty dumb because most of them can't really bunt. Bunting is giving away outs. You should never give away outs.
  16. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:11 PM) Unless you're a pitcher at the plate, you should pretty much never bunt. Agreed 900%. Maybe if you're trying to win in the bottom of the ninth and you have a runner on. I dunno, even then a single gets runners moving.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:09 PM) Terrible...the lost art of sacrifice bunting, hard to do against a fastball pitcher. And Rollins was 5 for 9 against LHP this year. Oh, well. Bunting is mostly going away because bunting is generally pretty dumb.
  18. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:08 PM) Ugh I hate bunting almost always, especially with 2 strikes. It's usually a bad baseball play.
  19. Is Robin calling for the bunt? Who bunts with two strikes?
  20. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 9, 2016 -> 08:54 PM) Nats and Strasburg just agreed to a 7 year $175M extension. Wow ! Does that $175 million include the money for additional surgeries?
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 4, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) Then why the hell have we had MEN and WOMEN bathrooms forever? Why did we ever distinguish between the two?? Shouldn't we always have had just simple bathrooms for one sex? How come for years upon years we've distinguished between the two sexes for bathrooms? Last time I looked I look for the men's sign in a restaurant and sure enough one says Men the other Women. Efficiency.
  22. This White Sox defense thing... There's clearly a shot with the runner's foot short of the bag.
