  1. Pedro back in 2024 what the f***
  2. This could be a good hire in ten years. Not today
  3. Should have fired him a week ago.
  4. The step after "acceptance" is "find a new baseball team" or "abandon the sport" This all breaks my heart, tbh
  5. Let me see if I get this straight: 1) Hire people you can manipulate 2) Be cheap 3) be involved in every transaction Did I get that right?
  6. I happened to switch to cable plans that have both the Astros and the Rangers. I'm done with the Sox this year.
  7. The "anyone from outside" stuff is all nonsense. The White Sox would be extremely enticing should that job ever become available.
  8. It probably would cost more than a new stadium itself.
  9. Most of the communities on the south side simply can't complete from a public money standpoint and you know if the Sox are leaving Chicago they're going for the public money.
  10. You were wrong then and you're wrong now. You're free to be continually wrong. At least it's consistent.
  11. The Shields trade was awful in retrospect but Tatis didn't become the guy he is now until later. That's as charitable as you can be.
  12. The injuries and fielding problems are hugely problematic. That Cubs rebuild team that won the World Series had a plethora of fielders. White Sox bet on arms and they busted. No fielding, injuries and bad pitching
  13. Lacks adequate context
  14. According to the scratch marks on the bathroom wall at the Moody Center in Austin, TX @caulfield12 is going to be the next White Sox gm
  15. Pedro is going to be the next guy’s option to fire. You better believe he’s effectively a lame duck
  16. The new boss will for the coach. There still have to field a team
  17. I'm fairly convinced the Sox won't go anywhere. Jerry is so old he likely doesn't live to survive a decade long move. Also, I think being in a large market is a better selling point if he were to sell.
  18. I can't imagine Atlanta ownership being like "yeah, go ahead and move to Nashville"
  19. Nah, they're going to move to Darien: "A Nice Place to Live Play"
  20. I don't know how true this is. The Cubs are more nationally popular but the White Sox are much more popular in the Cook County working class. If anything, the White Sox are more culturally significant to their part of the city than the Cubs are to any one part of Chicago.
  21. Neither really touches Chicago if the team is winning. That's the thing. We all give Cubs and their fans crap, but in 05 the vast majority of the third largest city in the country had eyes on the White Sox.
  22. As far as I’m concerned if the White Sox go to Nashville, they’re dead and buried. MLB would probably be dead to me
  23. I get the impression the offer just wasn't there. The only way Hahn gets an F is dumping a guy like Cease for a bad haul. C for me.
