Why the fuck would the Sox trade Eloy, a better prospect than Senzel, for Senzel?

At this stage I’d substitute Moncada for Madrigal but I agree on the others, although I guess if Colorado offered Arenado for Dunning, Robert and another prospect AND Arenado was open to an extension, I’d have an easy time saying goodbye to Robert.

I suggested $50 a year for the first 5 years in another thread, which would give Harper the ability to leave and get another big contract & the Sox the ability to be VERY competitive from 2020-2023 and it would allow the Sox to keep Jimenez, Moncada, Kopech, etc when they are due for contracts in 2024-2026.

If you don't include 2017 or 2018 since it's too early to make determinations, since 2012 he has drafted two good players (Debrincat, Terevainen), two mediocre players (Hinostroza, Hayden) and one player who might be good (Schmaltz). That's it. The rest of the guys haven't made an NHL impact. If you call a first line player, two 2nd line players and two bottom 6 players in FIVE years "good drafting," that's your prerogative. What? Bickell stunk his entire career except for the 2015 playoffs. He paid him anyway and it backfired. I’m not blaming him for MS- don’t be an idiot- but it’s not like Bickell was even close to being worth $4m a year.

Fitting for a guy like Carcillo to say that seeing as if how Bowman signing him was a dumbass & pointless move. The Bickell signing was a dogshit one, too (and in turn lost them Teuvo). Keeping Kane and Toews is obvious and to debate it is stupid, but there’s no reason why his US scouting department was so terrible. That’s on Bowman. Those are his scouts. He was unable to successfully surround the stars with quality guys. End of story.

Give them each $50 mill/year for the first 5 years with an opt out at 5 (ensuring they take the opt out since the final 5-7 years would be significantly less per year). The Sox payroll would still be low even with this because there’s no one else making anything significant. This allows the Sox to have the flexibility to pay Moncada, Kopech, Eloy, etc in 2023. It also allows them to be a BEAST for the next 5 years. Who says no?

Peterman currently has 11 INT in 95 career pass attempts. The same number of INT Rodgers has in his last 993 pass attempts.

But does anyone know him personally? I’d just hate to think something happened.

Is he alright? He hasn’t been on the site in 7 months. The first INT, no, but the last one was a slant that he threw for 0 yards and still managed to throw behind the receiver.
