Game 2 with KC (s/b Win 2 over KC)
heh, pull a Larry David. Start a shouting match and tell the boss that's it you quit. Go home watch the game, walk in the next day like it never happened. For anyone who has never heard Larry tell that story, it's tremendous. He told it on off the record with Bob Costas. I laugh every time I think of it.

Opening day gathering
I called the Uribe homer by the way. I was sitting on my couch, and I know he swings for the fences all the time. So I said to myself, "he's gonna hit one in this game."

Guess Mariotti's headline in tomorrow's paper:
I'll say he'll write about DePaul or the Cubs.

Let's all say a big "Thanks!"
I don't have any inside scoop or anything. I just think he's a guy they can get, who won't cost a major prospect. Plus, he's a guy who's got playoff expierence and perhaps Ozzie could work some of his mojo on him.

Detroit Crushing Toronto
Jays new uniforms are crap. They have black tops that say "Jays", the Devil Rays have the same black tops that say "Rays". I was watching Toronto-BoSox last week, and I kept calling the Blue Jays, the Rays.

Let's all say a big "Thanks!"
I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox try again for Garcia come July. It's early, but the M's are an old team that needs to be blown up.

Watching the Replay
I only watch the games on FSN, everything else is garbage.
-
Watching the Replay
They should replay every 1:05 start during the week, rather than their other crappy shows.

Konerko for Perez
True, but like Williams showed last June, if you sneak in and grab someone in June the cost is a lot lower.

What Happened to Aboz
Brando didn't edit the title of that thread, I did. You know it was me because I spelled thoughts wrong!

Garret Anderson
-- Garret Anderson, the Angels' all-time hits leader, has agreed to terms on a four-year, $48 million contract extension through 2008. The deal includes a club option for the 2009 season with a $3 million buyout.

The Minor League Board
It was my idea, but Jason put it into action. I do have good ideas.....sometimes.

Ordonez: Sox deal 'close' to happening
Nobody, but until they show people that they will spend the assumption will be that they won't.

Ordonez: Sox deal 'close' to happening
Magglio is worth whatever someone wants to pay him. The point is that if the Sox payroll is going to stay at 60 million or less, it's tough to put 25-30% of it in one guy.

Easter Sunday game thread
Sox need bunting practice for sure.

Ordonez: Sox deal 'close' to happening
The key would be to stager the contract so it increases in later years.

Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
heh. I just meant, he threw some good pitches at him. I think when he faces lefties he's prone to leaving the ball over the plate.

Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
I liked how he got Jeter out.

Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
I'd use Takatsu only vs. righties. Then I'd find a taker for Botch.
-
Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
Good movement on his pitches, but he has to keep the ball down.
- Who goes tommorow?

Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
I called it! Shingo and Cotts both up.
-
Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
I'd like to see Cotts and Shingo both get an inning here today.

Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
Pipp was a player for the Yankees and on his day off a young guy named Lou Gerhig played that day and took his job and the rest is history.

Sox @ Yankees Game Thread
Have to get Takatsu in this game.
