Mariners Looking at Dye; Sox Looking at Otsuka
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 12:04 AM) I'm 100 pct in agreement with this. I suppose the question would be do you agree with it? Clearly I understand we don't know what the plans are.

Classic video game memories
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 25, 2007 -> 11:51 PM) NES Punch Out. I remember never getting past Soda Popinski on the console and getting so pissed off. On an emulator, I beat the damn game. I could imagine you cutting a promo after the loss, but mixing in political comments for the time.

Classic video game memories
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 25, 2007 -> 11:49 PM) Yup, that was definitely from that game. Oh man, I'd love to play that game right now. I'm marking out for my youth reading this thread.

Classic video game memories
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 25, 2007 -> 11:47 PM) Honestly, even if you don't like Hockey, the video games kick ass no matter what. I've always loved Hockey and Soccer video games. I know when my friend and I would play soccer games on N64 we'd slide tackle guys all game long and win 2-1. Another one that just came to mind was NBA Jam. The arcade was good, but the I wanna say Sega/Super Nintendo version was awesome as well.

Classic video game memories
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 25, 2007 -> 11:46 PM) Super punch out was fantastic. Ken Griffey Jr. baseball for Super Nintendo might be the best game ever. What about Shaqfu? I know this was in a game, and I think it was that version of Griffey, but you could run the outfielder into the wall and you'd hear this thud and the guy would go down. It was like the Pods in Oakland play from this year but only funnier.

Classic video game memories
I know we have the catch all thread, but I figured this could attract folks who don't play current games. Anyone wanna share some memories of games they played out? Or how about games that pissed them off but they kept trying to play it anyway? I'll start.... I don't have much patience so I never had a lot of the latter, but back in the day Blades of Steel was the **** on my NES. If I wasn't playing that I was playing some Jordan vs Bird and failing at the dunks, Tecmo Bowl. Almost forgot, SUPER PUNCH OUT~!!~!!!! Who didn't love that game? Raise that hand nice and high so we can all point and laugh...

Duane Shaffer Fires on KW
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 24, 2007 -> 12:00 AM) http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines This was the most predictable feud ever. I don't care. The whole organization blows at developing players. Fathom, I've gotta ask you this. Could you have imagined a month ago us sitting here one week from the deadline and looking at the realistic possibility that the Sox make zero deals?

White Sox vs. Red Sox, 7/22/07 (L)
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) Sisco started yesterday, although I suppose Masset is also an option, but it would seem that the Haeger option is not one anymore. I have no idea who is pitching when, sorry. Point blank the options don't look good.

White Sox vs. Red Sox, 7/22/07 (L)
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 22, 2007 -> 02:53 PM) With HAeger warming again, who starts Tuesday, Floyd or Egbert? Hopefully not Sisco or Masset. Unless it's Gio or Egbert I'm not super excited.

At the very least, Ozzie said the team wasn't going anywhere in the papers this morning. So we have that going for us.

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 11:31 AM) At times, I just hate Sox fans. I'm listening to this AWFUL show on the Score where Offman is having a fantasy GM segment where retarded callers pitch their ridiculous trade proposals. My 2 favorite: Uribe, Crede and Vazquez for Ichiro and Luis Castillo and Jon Garland for Chone Figgins (caller: "I'm not sure the Angels would do it") honorable mention goes to the most menial of them all: Iguchi and Hall for Miguel Olivo (apparently the Marlins need a 2B) Go read the Buehrle thread, far worse in that thread. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 11:35 AM) It's just going to get worse over the next 20 days. Nah, wait till the Buehrle trade. All the ******** here will be out.

Buehrle Fest
Quickman, thank you for being in the thread.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 7, 2007 -> 09:36 AM) And if you've jumped from 5 listeners to 100 in 1 week, well you must be doing something right. Wait a minute here, still only the same 3-4 people replying. Don't get worked by Gager.

And That's A White Sox Loser
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 11:29 PM) lmao, not even I am breaking things over this sad team. I'd hope not, if you we're, I'm sure we'd take up a fee and get you taken a nice place with padded walls and a nice mattress somewhere.
