  1. 670 the Score just reported that if Crain can prove he is healthy that there is basically a done deal with the Braves for Crain. Per Phil Rogers
  2. Olt, CJ Edwards and a 3rd player going to the rangers per Rosenthal. Someone please link to twitter that can.
  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 03:52 PM) Yeah, it's bad that Texas is out as a suitor, but that's one more arm off the market with 9 days until the deadline, so it could be good, especially if the Cubs got a good haul. well at least now as far as Starting Pitchers go Peavy should be in a class of his own on this market. Do work Rick Hahn lets go.
  4. Garza scratched tonight. likely deal to rangers. per rosenthal.. sorryy cant copy twitter link on cell
  5. looks good.. would have liked to see Wells in for De Aza.. altho as long as Dunn is not in the lineup I am happy
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 29, 2013 -> 10:47 AM) Dunn at 1st, Tank in LF, PK on the bench. Interesting move with a lefty on the mound (I'm an idiot) ADA cf, Alexei ss, Rios rf, Dunn 1b, Tank lf, Gillaspie 3b, Kepp 2b, T-Flo c, Danks p dont mind seeing Dunn in there for PK today. Feldman seems like the typer of pitcher that AD should be able to handle. Lets get this one today boys!
  7. anyword on what RV is doing with the line up at Wrigley? Will he put Dunn in Left and sit Dayan? I really hope we just stick with Dayan out there and sit out Dunn
  8. would not mind seeing us make a run at the recently demoted Jesus Montero. Perfect buy-low situation with him. Even though his defense at Catcher is awful.. and that may be giving him to much credit
  9. yes this would be awesome.. no this is never going to happen
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 10, 2013 -> 06:53 PM) I took advantage of the free one week trial, no credit card provided at the Illini Scout site. If anyone wants info from the articles or private message board, let me know. hey man any info you can give me on the Illini recruiting from would be awesome. PM me if you want. Thanks
  11. talk about a series where I do not know what to chear for. i bet the Yankees season win total Under 89 wins (large) at the beginning of spring training, so tough to want the tigers to win though
  12. White Sox signed INF Tyler Greene to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte. The Astros released Greene on March 26 after deciding to go with Ronny Cedeno and Marwin Gonzalez as their shortstops. Which says all you need to know about Greene. Source: Mark D. Gonzales on Twitter Apr 4 - 1:42 PM White Sox signed OF Stefan Gartrell to a minor league contract. The 29-year-old hit .251/.335/.452 with 20 home runs and 55 RBI in 122 games last season for the Braves' Triple-A affiliate. He'll act as organizational depth for Chicago. Helping to fill out the Knights roster
  13. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 10:13 AM) Kepp played nothing but 3rd and DH in spring training games so it's unlikely Robin will use him anywhere but 3rd base defensively unless we have some major injuries at some point. Also Gillaspie cooled down quite a bit toward the end of ST. Yeah I agree. I am not a big fan of moving the regular's around on the diamond, was just throwing the idea out there
  14. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 09:40 AM) Man, I was hoping we could get Gillaspie some time and see if his spring hotness carried over into the regular season. Still, getting Kepp rolling in the #2 spot is important I agree on getting Gillaspie in there. I am curious to see if Robin would mess with Kep and move him to 2nd and play Gillaspie at 3rd on some days when Gordon needs a day or he wants Conor in the lineup.

  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 7, 2013 -> 09:42 AM) First i heard that I heard it from someone pretty reliable. It does fit some of the mold that Emery described in his press conference. Only issue is Muschamp is a defensive guy and I still think Emery goes for an offensive mind
  17. is it true that the Bears interviewed Will Muschamp on Friday?

  23. QUOTE JoeCoolman. i know we are off and running in the league. But I think it is going to be tough finding teams to fill it out with trades already taking place and such. I know we do not want to start it over now. But for competitive league balance I think we would have been better off at least waiting until we had the whole league filled. There are a lot of boards we could go and promote the league on and if it is a new league starting from scratch I think we would have a great chance to fill it out MUCH quicker than promoting it now with several trades (and teams plucked of their top prospects bc of our trades with computer. Just a thought. I bet if we went around to other boards starting as a NEW league and start over, we would be able to find 20 guys within a couple days. Just a thought. Id be willing to help post the league on various boards if we indeed start it from scratch. Wa have have not really lost a whole lot by stqarting over but we could gain people much easier. JoeCoolman response: Well starting over isn't an option. People, mostly myself, have put in way too many hours already making deals, signing players, and all that stuff. We only are looking for 4 more people to join the league. I don't want to have 15 or 16, because then we would have stragglers in the National League by themselves, so all we need is 4 more players to fill the American League, then we are full. The AL teams have been much less purged than the NL ones. I'm not sure the Tigers or Red Sox or Indians have even been traded with yet, it's just been the Mariners. When I was in another league last spring, I took over a team 7 seasons in to the league's existance, and it was fine, I enjoyed the challenge of rebuilding the team, and I did, and won 2 WS titles within 5 seasons. So let's just stay on course, I'm sure we will find 4 more people along the way. But feel free to pimp the league to friends or whatever, just make sure they read the rules and encourage them to get signed up on Soxtalk to communicate in the thread. --------------------
