Since this is basically the same club you'll see on the field next year, they better continue avoiding long losing streaks so these discussions won't have to exist.

Our players put together some of the worst AB's. For 7 innings of a game, we can be the worst offense in baseball.

Pods is lucky some of those Yankee fans didn't deflect that ball. I would have tried my best to knock it from Scotty if I were in the stands.

It's difficult to determine whether he's out or not on the replay. No one should be shocked. This club won't be getting any breaks or close calls.

Rowand doubles off the wall in LCF. Surprisingly, Hawk had a good read of the ball off the bat. I was expecting to hear a few "STRETCHES" or "GET UPS"

I'm not one to be overly concerned about media attention, but anycase anyone is wondering why people continue to dismiss our club, this is why. Many may dismiss this games an meaningless, but to those on the East Coast who write the news it's a 'true test.' And unfortunately, we're not looking like a very good ball club.

This is frustrating watching our hitters miss straight, 90 mph fastballs and watching his floating curveball. Of all the possible 1-2 starters playing on playoff contenders, Mussina should be the ONE you'd expect to string together a few big innings.

I love the anticipation of this latest name. I'm actually looking forward to it--unless it's someone from our team. Then I'll claim the tests were conducted improperly and complain about a possible media conspiracy.

My solution would be to move Dye to 1st and give Anderson an opportunity in RF. If we're not giving Brian a chance, then he should be packaged to another team for a 1B replacment. Perhaps Overbay will be on Williams' radar next offseason. Our outfield is full for the forseasble future. With the supposed talent developing in our minors we'll have trouble filling positions with Pods/Rowand wearing White Sox uniforms until 2008 (and beyond). If Anderson doesn't produce, you could always use him as a bench player and move Dye back to RF. Ross Gload could possibly be platooned with a UTL infielder (Blum--if he could find his swing). Our payroll will likely go up next year, as will the salaries of nearly every positional player/pitcher. Money saved from Konerko/Thomas may not factor much into free agent signings, but hopefully enough will be present to consider signing Wagner. If not, more is available for midseason acquisitions or 2007 FA market.
