Billy looks wide eyed and confused out there. Any time there is a chance for billy to give up a walk off home run is freightening

In the event he's voted in, Nose (Garciappara) should concede his position on the All Star team. I understand its still early in the voting process, but this is disgraceful that a more deserving candidate (in Michael Young) is overlooked.

Neil is going to need a boost in confidence. Lately, he has become a one pitch pitcher: fastball. Everything else is crushed. -

Exactly how it should be: Uribe, Maggs on the roster while the Cub's have no representatives. :fthecubs

Jon Rauch Likely Finished in Sox Organization
Flash Tizzle replied to Obi-Wan Kenobi's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I understand the tone of his comments imply he feels regret, but would it have been too much for him to simply admit he may of acted too quickly? Instead, he attempts to word his message just right, as to suggest what he said was correct. -
Jon Rauch Likely Finished in Sox Organization
Flash Tizzle replied to Obi-Wan Kenobi's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Everyone in the league knows how desperate we are for a 5th starter, and now they are wise to his ambitions of trading Rauch. Other GM's in this league must feel KW is a complete idiot (not that prior mistakes haven't made that clear). What annoyed me most was how he appeared to be justifying his trade intentions towards Rauch because it was "indicative of how the players felt" Has he asked the players how they felt about Koch as their closer, or the revolving door that is the 5th starters position? Hell no. Most likely he's using the attitude of the players (towards Rauch) as proof he's right on this issue. -

The following quote is from an article posted on MLB.com http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...tives&fext=.jsp Never can admit you might of made a mistake, right KW? -
It was a good win, but dont' remember we're all bound to hear how injured the Angels team is....in an attempt to discredit the win. Tribune did it in game one, they're bound to do it again. :fthecubs

Sox WIN, Sox WIN, Sox WIN. 3/4 from Twins, 2/3 from Rangers, 2/3 Angels. Its been a hell of a week.

Anyone else think the Angels are showcasing Ortiz today? He was a 16 game winner last season, not to mention he's shut us down for a few innings. If KW were to acquire Ortiz it wouldn't necessarily cost us the prospects that a top tier starter would.

Sheets is not an option. Milwaukee may label itself in in the stages of rebuilding, but it remains clear they are only 3 games out of first place. Try having the Milwuakee GM admit his club has no chance to compete, and trading his best pitcher is ideal for their future. I'm sure everyone has learned from the infamous White Flag trade on not to give your fans the impression you're giving up, no matter how improbable a trip to the playoffs may appear. Furthermore, the notion of KW dangling top prospects (Reed, Borchard) in deals for Benson type starters is very unsettling. If he's risking the future of our organization for the present he damn well better land a #1, 1a; Freddy Garcia won't cut it. Look at the present standings and browse teams which are 10 or more games out of first: Devil Rays, Mariners, Expos. Of those three, Hernandez, Day, Ohka are the only ones which interest me. Even with a pitcher of Hernandez' caliber, is Reed/Borchard/Rauch worth the trade? From our present prospective it may be, but what you're effectively doing is setting back the progression of your OF prospects atleast 3 years. We're not the Yankees, don't have 180 million to buy our talent. If Kenny would make an aggresive move for a Livian type pitcher, what happens if Sox don't win a World Series title? All of the sudden the remaining two years of a three year, 24 million dollar contract looks like dead weight. If Maggs leaves (which many speculate he will) we lose him and NOBODY in the minors could immediately fill his position. The league knows our woes at the 5th starter position, and will attempt to take advantage of KW. I just pray he doesn't "jump the gun" and throw away our top prospects for some mediocre starter.

Macowiak has 5 RBI's tonight. Through the series he has nearly hit the home run cycle (grandslam, three run HR, and two run shot). Pirtates clobbering the Cubs 10-6 in the 8th. With this probable loss they will fall 3.5 games behind the Reds and tied for third place.

And Sergio Mitre didn't "do bad" until the fifth. When hitters begin to see a new pitcher for the second, third time they become familiar with their "stuff." Rauch was simply mediocre the first three innings, and in the fourth the Angels caught up to him. -

The deal is we're giving Pittsburg three players.....two of which could prove valuable at the back end of rotation someday. Far as Kelly, If Wunsch ever regains his velocity then Pittsburghs bullpen would be solitified. Heres what we get in return: an injury plagued, inconsisent starter who can't seem to live up to his potential; pass on that deal. -

Brando, this is.......by far.....the most RIDICULOUS comment you have ever posted on this board. Listen, the players have no right to leave their team (even if there not playing) unless a situation warrants it. If Uribe ever left a game he knew he wouldn't play in to "go to vegas" his ass would be gone. Think what kind of message that sends to your teammates. Though I can't argue with Prior kicking someone in the balls....he probably woulld have the advantage of doing that. I'm sure Cub fans would line up for the prestigious opportunity to be kicked by the Messiah. -

Wills asked an interesting question to Rauch: "Do you feel that a change of scenery could do you good." "Don't know, but I have a feeling I'll never pitch for this team again," says Rauch. I believe him, he is good as gone. Whether or not there was intention from Jon to leave early, he just doesn't abandon a team without consulting someone. Frank Thomas did this at an ALL STAR game (which means nothing) and was lambasted by the media. -

Rauch apologized to his teammates. Said that he was under the impression that immediately following this start he would drive back down to Charlotte. -

Flash Tizzle replied to Obi-Wan Kenobi's topic in Pale Hose Talk
A caller on the ESPN 1000 post game show reminded Wills that Rauch was throwing a tandrum last year when Manuel pulled him from the mound. There has been a history of showing displeasure towards being pulled. I've never heard of any attitude problems he might of had in the minors, but todays selfish translates into his immediate removal from the White Sox organization -

Are you a rock? Rauch abandoned his team. For that he deserves to be treated like s***. Its not odd for a GM to issue this sort of message, remember Milton Bradley earlier this season? Difference being Milton Bradley put up great numbers last season (with the Indians) while Rauch has never proven himself. Like I said; ZERO trade value. -

Too bad Rauch has NO trade value. -
I'll set the stage: Bases loaded, Carlos Lee has a good lead off second base. After a pitch Lee takes off for third as if he thought the ball 1. was hit, or 2. went behind Molina. Lee realizes half way to third nothing happened and by then Thomas is going towards home (obviously because Carlos f***ed up)....after a run down along the third base line Frank goes back to 3rd. Immediately afterwards Carlos is finally tagged off second base.
-
Lee fell asleep off second base. Dumbass f***er ran us out of an inning.

5-0 Anaheim. Kenny, trades must be done.
