Minnesota lost today too. Would of been a great opportunity to gain some more ground. Still a long way to go, but battling back against Anaheim bullpen is always tough. Rauch isn't fooling anybody. 1st and 3rd with one out.
-
3-0 Anaheim. LOL, anybody see that virtual question on Fox? Who loves Steve Bartman more: White Sox fans or Marlin fans.
-
Stop the hurt Rauch........stop it now. 2nd, 3rd NO outs.

I'll be damned. Far my user name, it doesn't have any subliminal meanings. I picked it because when I first attempted to register for this site a message would appear which said,"this name is already taken." After creating (what had to be) 6 or 7 names I envisioned a handle which no one, in a sober state of mind, would think of. Before I typed in "Flash Tizzle" I noticed on the help board that new members can sign onto Soxtalk regardless of any message detailing an error. At that moment I decided of all my names this one was the best, so i kept it. Don't be shocked if some day a member named Mag' Tizzle decides to post. :fthecubs

http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-ssep29.html Best part of the article: Awesome. It would be great to have Ozzie's son in one of my classes.

Has anyone here tried Aurelios Pizza? Over in my town its the s***. I've never been to any of the other locations, athough there is one on the corner of Canal and Harrison (near Union Station) which I heard is good. SSk24, when you have the time you should walk down from your office and check the place out.

This ump has squeezed Garland on atleast 8 strikes.
-
Great tailing fastball to strike out Eckstein. 2 outs, Figgens due up.
-
Kennedy deserved that ball to be deflected of his fingers/shins. Too bad he laid down a successful sacrifice.
-
Looks like the bullpens are going to decide this game. Both starters are high in counts: Escobar - 99, Garland - 96 (?)
-
Three steals off Molina tonight. Make something happen Konerko. HE DOES, THIS GAME IS TIED AT 2.
-
Blame that on Lee, sleeping in left field while Guillen tags from first.
-
Olivo made that mistake on his own. From Hawk/DJ, Cora was pointing over to first for Miguel to watch the play developing.....it was NOT a green light. Uribe may feel uncomfortable against Escobar, you can't know exactly what his approach is. I'd question ANY bunt immediately after a collision, but obviously Uribe thought he could get on. Not to mention there are only a few players on our slow footed team which can steal a base OR lay down a bunt. Uribe can hit the ball out of the park, but as I said earlier this game may remain close and we may need to play "ozzball" against a tough pitcher.
-
Don't believe it will. If Valentin started it, and Angels retaliated, then it should end right there.. Since this game is so close I wouldn't want to give an explosive offense any chances to add more runs.
-
It was dirty, but was retaliation for Valentin's takeout of Kennedy earlier in the game. Uribe looks fine, though the takeout might of stretched his groin muscle. We'll have to see how he moves on the basepaths or fields a grounder.
-
God no. Kennedy goes high into second base and knocks out Uribe. Out still recorded.
-
Angels up 1-0 top of the fifth. One on (first), 1 out.
-
Glad to see Rowand run last inning. Small ball might be the only way we win this game. Escobar is at 75 pitches through 4 innings. If their lead stays on course we're going to have to battle back against a very tough bullpen.
-
Cheat, what site do you use for collecting stats? I browsed through whitesox.com, but they show Carlos' numbers from RISP and 2 outs as seperate items.
-
Carlos has a terrible plate approach with RISP. Not sure of his numbers, but he CONSISTENTLY swings at the first pitch; usually grounding/popping out.
-
Frank with an infield single. Figgins made a great stop along the third base line but the throw was a bit off at third. Willie moves into third, Carlos up.
-
Terrible baserunning by Olivo on a bunt single by Harris. Good job you moron, we would of had runners on the corners with 0 outs.
-
Vlad forced out at second on a ground ball to Valentin. Bottom of third, Angels lead 1-0.
-
Crede pegs Vlad on an attempted throw to first; he's safe. One on, 2 outs.
-
We all should be proud with Mackowiak. He's a former south side resident who grew up a Sox fan. 2 outs in the top of the 3rd.
