There's always exceptions...
Alou falls over ( I refuse to call it a dive) in the direction of the ball and Chip busts a nut. "WHAT A PLAY BY ALOU" Jackass, the catch might have been game saving but it was IN NO WAY difficult.

There's always exceptions...
He's delusional, as are the rest of the drillrod Cub fans. They all follow a simple formula: Prior = win. There's NO exception.

There's always exceptions...
Prior has a no decision....... Several umpires will be fired for this injustice. They has SPECIFIC orders to make sure Prior gets the win.
-
There's always exceptions...
Should be 2 outs, runner on first and second. Now this game has evolved into a bases loaded, one out situation. Umpires have decided Prior is destined to win this.

Unfortunately, today is different. :fthecubs

There's always exceptions...
Ordonez misplays a grounder and the inning continues. This may be Priors last inning; lets put together a rally Pirates and give him the loss.

What a catch by Redman in CF! Beautiful, full extension diving grab that definitely saved a run.

There's always exceptions...
Prior looks so goofy in the batters box. No matter, he'll strike out anyways.
-
There's always exceptions...
Pirates continue to give Cubs every opportunity to win.

There's always exceptions...
Mackowiak should of drop kicked Barrett.

There's always exceptions...
HA, Mackowiak ends the Messiahs perfecct game with a base hit.

There's always exceptions...
God dammit Pirates, you're only playing into the hands on the Cub-loving media but refusing to hit Prior. Prior perfect through 4.

Brockton junior high sex racket probed
If Risky Business has taught me anything, the kids behind this "prostitution ring" will become the future entrepreneurs of America.

Maggs Ordonez watch?
There should be no excuses why a Maggs watch isn't within the Tribune. Right now they are giving the updates on Magglios condition, but we'll see in a few weeks if reports continue Not that it matters to me if the Tribune reports Maggs progression through his injury, I just feel (as you do) that a space should be devoted to such a talented player.

The Olsens are almost 18
That's fine, maybe its just me that see's the wild-girl side of Ashlee. Don't like her hair? What about now...... http://www.ashleesimpson.org/trlpom52.jpg

She does have a oddly shaped chin, but regardless of that she's not ugly. Unlike her sister, Ashlee doesn't always look good in every photo. Few times I was browsing through her official website, looking for pics to include in a signature, and only found a few. To me she's more of a girl you find walking the streets; not necessarily a model but still worthy of a hit. Here's a good picture of Lohan and Simpson: http://www.ashleesimpson.org/goldenglobeah9.jpg

Nah. I'll take Amanda Bynes, Hillary Duff, and (my favorite) Ashlee Simpson over Lohan any fricken day.

Enough about lack of respect
Correction, they're the leagues best 4th place team. Thankfully (for Cub fans) Milwaukee lost, or else they would be planted in fifth.

SHUT UP DJ!!
There's been several instances where DJ incidently "jinxed" the team: 1. Carl Crawford's 3 run, game winning home run off Koch: DJ: "Crawford's one home run this year came opening day. It was a walkoff HR against the Boston Red Sox." -NEXT PITCH, its gone. Remember hearing it on the score later on that evening and couldn't believe it. 2. Esteban Loaiza's last start of the season. He is currently pitching a no hitter going into the 7th inning. Returning from a television break, DJ suggests this could be a "magical day" for Loaiza, and leads the viewers to look at the hit total of Kansas City. -First batter, bloop single ends no hitter I'm not a supertitious person, as I'm sure there has been situations where DJ called a hit or key strikeout. Though I do understand how it feels when DJ brings up some obscure trend, to which he is immediately proven wrong.

Botch and Stat Padder
Please, lets not reignite the "Marte as closer" bandwagon. He has blown his share of saves this year, and although he is beginning to show promise I still believe his role is best suited as setup to a REAL closer. Should also be noted that success as a relief pitcher does not always translate into that of a closer; ask Letroy Hawkins.

Chi Sox vs As Game 2 thread
Question: Does anybody else notice that the home team never appears to lose extra inning games?
