  1. I was close. Takatsu is warming up, which means this game is all but over.
  2. From FSN it looked like Cooper mouthed the word "Cotts" over the phone.
  3. If the ball is hit hard enough to Crede we could turn a triple play............otherwise this inning won't end until one run crosses the plate.
  4. The WGN kid was just yelling players names. Since he was right under the broadcast booth every viewer could hear him loud and clear. This guy today is a heckler. Since there are 10 fans in attendance you can hear every individual person.
  5. I feel very tempted to use the "C" word describing our offense thus far. Against Vazquez this is expected, can't say the same for Abbot.
  6. Seems Tampa has their own version of the WGN kid from Wed.
  7. YES! Frank hits a single up the middle. Lead off man aboard. Take note guys, this is how you will win this game.
  8. Danny got lucky. Now its time to stop serving up home runs.
  9. I've always known Danny has trouble the first innings, and those stats prove it. His role is best served out of the bullpen when somebody else has already f***ed up.
  10. If theres anything I learned from Wed. game its not to give up hope until the game is over. Sox have 6 innings to come back against a mediocre Tampa pitching staff.
  11. Crede deserved to strike out. Guys hitting nearly .200 and he swings with an uppercut.
  12. He has given up one run through one inning; little too early to lose hope. By the fifth we should see how Wright does when the pitch count starts to mount and players begin to see him for the third time. If Danny pitches into the 7th I would consider it a f***ing miracle.
  13. What is that, 5 career home runs for Crawford? First pitch from Wright and it clears right field. Dan better settle his goofy ass down.
  14. LOL, Carl f***ing Crawford strikes agaiin.
  15. 10-9 Game, this is f***ing BULLs***. Once again Hendry looks like a genius by signing Hollandsworth. Only 12 at bats off the bench and he has 3 pinch hit home runs...... :fthecubs
  16. This is the part of the schedule they should be dominating. Giving up 9 runs to potential cellar dwelling ballclub is inexcusable. EDIT: Make it 10 runs!
  17. You beat me to it Dick. Did anyone who witnessed the incident notice if WGN showed any the fans throwing s*** on the field?
  18. I'm going to guess that none of what the Cubs fans did (to the outfield)will make the paper......or be mentioned outisde of this board. By the way, who the hell is in the booth for WGN? Guy is mumbling and I can't hear a damn word he's saying. Not that it matters, because if Cubs continue to lose (and their fans continue to become sober) this will become an entertaining 2 innings.
  19. High quality FA's, better marketing, 1st place throughout most of the year, advancement past first round of playoffs, and most importantly the yuppification of the surrounding neighborhoods. There's too many bad stereotypes facing this organization and its location in Chicago.
  20. Congratulation!s Its best that you begin to brainwash your kid right now. Buy him baby white sox gear and instead of Barney play reruns of the Cubs Game 6 NLCS collapse.
  21. Not certain (from memory, may be skipping an album) but I would guess Meddle. The Wall doesn't have many electronic tunes within the album, but that came out in the early 80's......
  22. I didn't tell you guys the worst part. (You'll figure out why) There's a painting her father drew that's hanging on the wall above her desk. It's really bad, but it has sentimental value because her father died some time after drawing it. I said I would tear is down and piss on it. :dips*** Its cruel, I know. I was trying to act cool and really wasn't thinking of her feelings when I made the comment.
  23. Hope Dylan doesn't mind me copying the recap: ---------------------------------------------------------- Viva Magglio! WSC Recap - By Mike Matha - 4/15/04 The White Sox, in front of 15,150 fans looked to sweep, and win their fourth straight against the Kansas City Royals. Mark Buehrle took the hill for the Sox, and while he was solid for 5 innings, he hit a bump in the road in the top of the sixth with a 5-2 lead. Despite Buehrle's sixth inning struggles, the Sox bullpen held strong as the White Sox came on to win 6-5 in 10 innings. Unlike the first two games of the series, the Kansas City Royals struck first in the top of the first with a Carlos Beltran solo home run to left field. However, that was before the Sox had a chance to take their first swings. In the bottom of the first, the Sox came back hard and took the lead 2-1 when things were all said and done in the first. Juan Uribe led the Sox off with a double to right, and was scored one batter down in the order when Jose Valentin did his best Uribe impression, doubling to right. Magglio Ordonez moved Valentin into third, and was driven in by a Carlos Lee sacrifice fly to center field. One inning later, Aaron Rowand hit his first long ball of the season (1), to left, putting the Sox up 3-1. Kansas City later tapped Buehrle in the fourth when Juan Gonzalez hit a solo home run to right field, inching closer 3-2. In the fifth, the White Sox put two more runs on the board, giving them a 5-2 lead. Magglio Ordonez singled with two outs to set up Frank Thomas' first home run (1) of the season, a two run shot to left center. Buehrle was chased in the sixth after giving up 3 more runs, allowing Kansas to tie the game at 5. Buehrle lasted 6 innings, giving up 7 hits, 5 ER, 2 BB, 7 SO, and surrendering 2 HR. In that sixth inning, Carlos Beltran led off with a walk, was moved to second after Sweeney singled to Center, and made his way to third on a sac fly off the bat of Juan Gonzalez. Beltran came around to score one batter later on a single to center from Joe Randa, which also moved Sweeney to second. With two outs, Jose Santiago doubled to deep left, scoring both Randa and Sweeney, tying the game at 5. Buehrle finished the inning, and was relieved by Mike Jackson in the 7th. Jackson, who is yet to give up an ER, pitched 2 hitless, and scoreless innings, allowing the White Sox chances to win it late in the game. The scoring action didn't resume until the bottom of the 10th when Magglio Ordonez hit a game winning solo home run (4) over the left field wall, to put the White Sox up 6-5. Marte earned the win after pitching 2 scoreless innings. The Sox will travel to Tampa Bay tomorrow for a 6:15 win. Danny Wright looks for his first win of the season.
