Is that Ronny Woo behind homeplate? Sure as hell looks like him... Ray Durhman scores on a groundout. 1-0 SF.
-
There's still plenty of time for the Tigers to blow this game.
-
AH, YES. Emotions were running high that day. I thought you edited "not understanding" part into the post and you had cw confirm that you didn't. I never did apologize......
-
There's a rift between us? I'll have to look through that thread because I had no idea you have a problem with me. Could I be one of the 3 people you refered to in your "favorites thread?"

Do you have a few hours to spare? http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic...76&hl=old+roman

Was Frank second in MVP voting? IIRC Carlos Delgado also had a hell of a year in 2000.

Actually two months ago. http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=14214&hl=heather

I can admit I started this "argument", so I'm willing to end it. Just something about Rex comment irritated me and I had to vent. I know some of you can relate to the feeling on this board when your stressed and your overract to the most trivial remark.
-
Despite the blatent sarcastic tone I understand your point. I wasn't regarding the particular article Dbaho listed as "fire" to be lit under the sox. Nothing was said in the article to suggest the Twins are dissing the sox (Situation is similar to that of Frank Thomas: whom recieved bad press despite not saying ONE word over the off season). When you said "Who cares" (in the first post) and I replied "the White Sox to being underdogs", it was not intended to suggest the aritcle is bulliten board material. I "found it interesting" that Phil Rogers believes were underdogs in this weak division. :fthecubs

I believe your the one b****ing Rex. I find it interesting how the Twins have overlooked the Sox in this division. Recently it appears you have this feeling of superiority residing over this board; like your opinion is above that of everbody else. Wasn't it possible that somebody does care (maybe the WHITE SOX) about being an underdog to the defending division champions.

So is there a gm today or is it intra-squad
Flash Tizzle replied to Jordan4life_2007's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Are stats posted from any of these intersquad games? -
Unfortunately it does show jealousy on our behalf. But because the Cubs came within 5 outs of the world series and had a tremendous offseason doesn't give them immunity. For all the years they were terrible I still had a strong dislike for the Cubs. Most know (though few would admit) the Cubs represent everything we wish we were :strong fan base, high payroll, media attention. For that it makes them easy to dislike. :fthecubs
-
Dully noted. I'm positive most fans have a mental capacity capable of rooting for the Sox AND praying for the Cubs collapse. :fthecubs

Lets all stop acknowledging this thread (and begood) right........................now.

Any time the Cubs rip something off from the white sox (which is what, never) profanity should be encouraged. :fthecubs

Shoenweiss as a starter is scary enough, but for him to pitch at Yankee Stadium (in what will no doubt be broadcasted nationwide on ESPN) is freightening. More then the likelihood of the Yankees lineup teeing off against Shoe is the possibility of a bad game triggering a slide reminiscent of last year. Don't understand why the Sox have so much faith in this guy. Maybe they see the next e-lo in him, I sure as hell don't. Don't think I'm feeling pessimistic against our teams chances this upcoming year. Its just powerhouse teams (ideally the Yanks) that lower any expectations of our team competiting.
-
I tried to delte it but you already quoted me..... Read up to "I'll never read another email from a sox fan......." and rushed to point out my mistake.

I thought it was quite hilarious that ninetyfour sent him span. Only because it appears to agitate some of you. Guarantee Mariotti will not be effected in the least.

Good job plugging soxtalk. Nice to hear Julie voice her true opinions and not hide behind some "I respect their decision" excuse.

Men are raped in showers there, you know......

Jay took quite the swipe at Hawk today. Believe Moronotti said he would "Sue Hawk," and refered to him as "a washed up old man." Although I don't believe he would sue Hawk, Jay sure took it personal.............

Pitchers don't need the added performance of steroids to perform well. Gagne was overweight, and similar to Zambrano decided to lose some baggage in order to gain endurance. Its quite possible that he could of taken steroids for the exact reason he decided to lose weight (which is prolong endurance), but he's a closer......not exactly vital for him to pitch for an extended period of time.

Stop trying to act like a mod..... I hope the link stays on this site just to spite you. And no, nobody will get in trouble for it Steve. So what it comes down to is: STOP WHINING!

JULIE SWIECA resigns from the score?
Flash Tizzle replied to southsideirish's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Maybe she resigned because of the idiots that call in. Last guy suggested that Sosa be traded to the White Sox for The Big Hurt. Dumbass believes Frank Thomas can play RF for the CUBS; f***ing idiot.... -
