No, if only for that outrageous 2013 option. Think about it logically -- is he worth that amount right now? Now, imagine four years past, when you'd expect a natural regression in his abilities due to health issues. His delivery is violent. It'll only get worse. He'll, I'd guess by 2011 we'd begin regretting the deal. I hope this rumor dies quickly. Let us finish this miserable season in peace.

The reviews were spot on about Terminator Salvation, particularly about the lack of character development in anyone. It just wasn't an enjoyable movie. Even though I didn't expect much coming in, it was one of those films that despite everything I've heard about it, I had to see it for myself. I thought the entire Harvester at the gas station scene was great, but aside from that, it was incredibly dull. Is this the best that anyone could do with the material? Maybe it's just me, but I would have preferred a story that began with John and his wife inside the underground bunker at the end of T3, leading up to their arrival in the resistance. Not the alternative we're presented with. Also, and I don't know if this is a spoiler so I'll tag it:

Honestly, I wont be the least bit upset if Peavy remains in San Diego. If we were in first place, and needed an additional starter, I could understand feeling frustrated. But really, look at our team -- it isn't going anywhere. Even if Peavy is to us what Sabathia was to the Brewers last season, there is still only one dependable starter in Buehrle. Our offense is atrocious, too. I'm not going to say we'd regret trading Poreda or Richard, though. I believe, and I know others do as well, that the White Sox are looking for any opportunity to unload Poreda onto another ballclub. If you can't find a consistent secondary pitch after two years in the minors, one full season with our coaches, it just isn't going to be found magically one evening. What we'd probably regret is his salary. You can't predict how we'll be three years from now. Obviously, you can't predict his health either.

Has anyone seen Terminator Salvation yet?

Jesus Christ, and here I assumed they were going to play at 7:00 and just signed on here to view information on Jake Peavy. Although I can't say I'm shocked. Colon obviously didn't have it, but whenever you're expecting Bombs Away Broadway and Gobble to prevent anything but more runs you're going to be in trouble. The sooner Broadway's ass is sent out of the town the sooner we can go through this same process with McCulloch.
