  1. QUOTE(JimH @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) good one, but I'm handling this via PM. He must've called my f***ing home phone 8 times in the first 3 innings. Jesus, enough is enough. When I don't answer my damn phone, that means I'm damn busy. Which I was. Holy smokes, take a hint. I'm on a conference call and the call waiting keeps going "beep" and I damn well know who it is ... probably about something really important too. way to handle it via pm
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) I respect your opinion, to each his own. I've been to Wrigley a few times and happen to think that the view beyond the outfield is pretty ugly. THose buildings are looking dated, kinda cheesy 70's architecture. Compared to the backdrops at some of the newer parks, Wrigley is not even in the top 10. I wish the Cell's outfield backdrop was our beautiful downtown skyline. It's the only thing I'd change. it's always bugged me that you can see the skyline if you sit in the outfield. why on earth would they do that? *218 i believe.
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Interesting. So we call him up waste an option and start the arb. clock for a rain out? it's a possibility at least.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) What are you getting at game could be washed, which would make all of this talk useless.
  5. Just a thought guys. There's supposed to be big storms sunday.......
  6. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) what backdrop?...those few old buildings, I think one of them is a project. and what's beautiful about it? The only park i've ever been to before today was ours, it was different, i liked it. here's a picture i took today.

alright, i can't take this anymore. I CUT THE GRASS. WHAT THE f*** IS MOWING THE LAWN?!?!?!!?!?!
  8. I did my first trip to wrigley today, here's what i did: took the metra train downtown (lasalle st. station) found a red line stop, hopped on that to the addison stop. Really not that hard, suprisingly. But after all that you really appreciate the 20 minute drive to teh cell.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 20, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) Chicagoans, resist the urge. ...you know exactly what I'm talking about. what on earth are you talking about. i love "mowing my lawn"
  10. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 20, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) He is not boarding the plane right now. He's supposed to fly into Chicago tomrrow. do you know what flight meal he's going to have?
  11. This sure is an interesting twist. If bmac does pitch sunday we all know this: he will either be lights out OR get shelled. Nobody knows

    yes. /topic over.
  13. I was at the game today. Cubs fans easily outnumbered us 5-1, but we brought the noise. What were those cub fans supposed to cheer about today? We were right behind the plate, but underneath the 2nd deck, so we had no sun and the wind was blowing right at us. It felt like 30 degrees. This was my first wrigley visit ever too. I gotta say, the backdrop is beautiful. The experience, however, is alot better at the cell. Lots more room, more fan-oriented. What a great day.

Just got back. Awesome, awesome, and awesome. Whoever said the dialogue was corny, they were right, but that's to be expected. Everything else was flawless. Tied all the ends together so perfectly.

QUOTE(Steff @ May 19, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) And that was sooooo long ago.. :rolly It was a hard life back then, no playstation 2, no cell phone, no cable internet. I tell ya, we had to fight to survive. :banghead

  24. Even with these losses you just gotta say that we're 27-12......and think about that. Then shutup. This team can afford some downtime in my book, even though yesterday should have been a W. What a cold, miserable way to spend a night at the cell last night.
