7-23 GT: Sox @ Brewers (7:10pm)
My post history shows how much I was against the TLR hiring. I almost became a Cubs fan because of it. I've let bygones be bygones though. TLR has done an incredible job, and I'm just enjoying the master showing off his craft at this point.

Abreu still dips. It is incredibly unsightly and sets a poor example. Tony doesn't drive around hammered anymore as far as I can tell. It's a dispicable thing Tony did. However, it's over and done with, and he is now leading this team like King Leonidas lead the Spartans during the Battle of Thermopylae.

Who might be going to the minors when our injured Stars return?
Just go out and fucking get Eduardo Escobar already

2021 MLB Catch-all Thread
I was making fun of Balta for claiming fans need a gameplan for an event that is so incredibly rare at a ballpark. He must also have tornado and earthquake gameplans when he goes to the ballpark. Agoraphobe confirmed.

Why even go to the games anymore? There's maybe a 0.001% chance of this happening at an MLB game. Your idea to have a gunfire gameplan simply isn't enough. I advise nobody to ever go to sporting events anymore. It's too risky.

Yermin retiring? Nope. Wait, maybe yes? Wait, he's active in Charlotte again.
He was fighting for those who don't want to hustle. Have some respect.

Maybe he's putting the rest the "Yerminator" persona. Tonight a new, more humble Yermin is born - and kept in shackles down in AAA by the man, making a paltry $570k.

I'm just sad I never got to go to a game with my buddies and paint "Yermin's" on our chests (maybe forget the 's or do n's all on one chest) and "Vermin" on our backs, one by one, similar to Crede's crew

If they trade Sheets and/or Burger, and a player or 2 gets injured again, Yermin can easily be back in the picture. Additionally, he has at least some trade. Why just throw that away? Should all teams simply dump guys that are blocked in the minors?

Lmao, Balta being Balta

You'd think a loophole that big wouldn't exist in those contracts...

Middle Infield Depth
A common complaint you would hear about the Sox is the lack of infield depth in the system. No longer is this true. This team has done a hell of a job developing their middle Infield depth recently. Jose Rodriguez, Lenyn Sosa and Romy Gonzalez all play SS and have all shown they can hold their own at their respective levels. Lenyn and Jose are both above average hitters while being young for their levels. Jose's numbers are more impressive. He's got a respectable 17% SO rate and has swiped 20 bags. Romy is age appropriate in AA, but he is absolutely crushing the ball. 15 HRs, 16 for 20 on SBs, .860 OPS. Monster. Really hope to see him in AAA soon. Seems like a perfect candidate to take over the Leury role. See their stats below. All of them had big nights, so their stats will look even better tomorrow. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/jose-rodriguez/sa3005788/stats?position=2B/SS https://www.fangraphs.com/players/lenyn-sosa/sa3004051/stats?position=SS https://www.fangraphs.com/players/roman-gonzalez/sa3006652/stats?position=OF
