  1. Was that first pitch the curveball? Nasty!
  2. That's the trade-off for his high OBP.
  3. His baseball IQ is astronomical
  4. Sucks that Engel didn't know it was 3-2. He probably cracks that meatball slider
  5. Wow, that's not the best slide lmao
  6. Oof, Robert is in a bad funk
  7. I didn't cheer against the Cubs in 2016 because I didn't want to seem like a bitter Sox fan. I also was OK with them winning because my grandfather was able to witness them win one before he passed. Deep down, I wanted them to lose. I wasn't one of these bitter ass Sox fans that cringe at the thought of a crosstown series. I don't like the Cubs, but I don't have disdain for them. I drank and partied the night they won. I enjoyed the atmosphere on the Northside during their run. To think people wouldn't want to see a crosstown series is just mindboggling to me. The atmosphere would be so incredibly cool. Bantering and shit talking with my Cubs fan friends during it would be great. There wouldn't be a split in the city and suburbs. EVERYBODY would have a rooting interest. A crosstown series would be a dream.
  8. Avi Garcia is one hell of a player. Much better than Mazara. Me.likey.Avi.
  9. Pfft, this is just pathetic. Can't believe so many people are that terrified of the Cubs winning. Strange.
  10. Tomorrow is the last day to call up Vaughn. Are the Sox really going to ride with EE, or at least get Collins up here so Grandal and McCann can both play?
  11. I think Eloy will put up at least a few .300+ batting average years
  12. Maybe the bar being exactly half and half, but not at all. If they both made the world series, it would be electric in this city
  13. Seriously? I get that it would be different this year due to covid. In a normal year it would be even more awesome. Having both fanbases in the same city, being able to banter and talk shit with all my Cubs fan friends during it. Being in a bar that is split in half between White Sox and Cubs fans, being able to share all the positive and negative emotions together. That would be fucking incredible.
  14. Thanks, will add to the first post
  15. Stoney has been pretty open in his backhanded criticism towards Ricky Renteria. See below for tweets. Stone's also thrown shade at Ricky during broadcasts. He also responded to a fans tweet and bashed Mazara recently. I can't seem to find that tweet unfortunately. Criticism of the team is what did him in with the Cubs. Stone is the best of the best in terms of broadcasting. Do you see this one ending poorly like it did with the Cubs? I can't imagine it ending well if he keeps bashing Ricky. Hopefully it means the writing is on the wall for Ricky.
  16. I can't believe people wouldn't want to see this happen. It would be incredible.
  17. The Elevated track to Subway Series The El Series The Red Line Series
  18. Yeah, i don't think he is as realistic of a candidate. That's why i have been pining for Nimmo. I thought that guy brought up Conforto instead of McNeil, which is why i said that.
  19. The Sox need to shoot for better out of their OF. Finding somebody better than those two shouldnt be too difficult or costly.
  20. Chisox1917 nailed it. I am infatuated by Nimmo because he consistently posts great OBPs, is left handed, and currently plays CF. I see no reason why he can't play a good corner outfield. This team could really use another lefty and another high OBP player. Add in the improved OF defense, and he would be a huge plus for this team. Nimmo would just be hitting his prime. There would be 2 years left on his contract. It would just be the perfect fit. Here's to hoping the Mets have a firesale this offseason. Conforto would be an amazing get as well. I would love either of them.
  21. This x100. If the Mets are smart they'll have a firesale. See if you can nab Nimmo from them. Maybe it takes Stiever + a lower level prospect. He is a perfect fit on this team.
  22. If you're living in the 1930s, sure
  23. I definitely feel that. However, it is so difficult to find a high OBP, lefty, competent outfielder like Nimmo. Maybe Stiever + a low level guy isn't enough. Given the volatility of pitchers, I roll the dice and make the trade. Open the checkbook for Bauer next and the Sox are favorites in the AL.
  24. Could also really use another competent left handed bat. Nimmo is a perfect fit here. Tough decision
