  1. QUOTE (Baron @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 06:27 PM) If any of you are interested. Scott Merkin said on this weeks podcast that he's heard about the 3 year offer for Cespedes and other sources tell him the Sox could be done for the offseason. He's been wrong quite a bit this off season.
  2. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 06:18 PM) http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/01/the-yoenis...s-probably-fake Just to show some of the bulls*** that's on social media and how pathetic social media is becoming. Take all rumors with a grain of salt until proven otherwise. Funny read though. Cripes lolol
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 02:02 PM) She got the days wrong. Also didn't the Hawks fly home after the last game of a circus trip? The Internet is so dumb. http://espn.go.com/nhl/team/schedule/_/nam...cago-blackhawks They played the Kings November 29th. She said Nov of 2014 that this happened. Next game was December 3rd at home. Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc 2h2 hours ago I saw the latest Patrick Kane thing. I can't confirm the Hawks left on the plane immediately after that game. They may have stayed over.
  4. Anybody seeing this new Patrick Kane scandal that happened in LA? Yikes.
  5. Marc Topkin ‏@TBTimes_Rays 2m2 minutes ago BREAKING: #Rays are close to signing Steve Pearce to a 1-year deal, just pending a physical. Would get DH at-bats, play 1B vs. LHP, some OF Great sign for them.
  6. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) Wasn't Michael Taylor a highly regarded prospect? I hear everyone talking about Revere/Harper/Werth but what happened to that guy? Viewed as a 4th OFer.
  7. I honestly just can't see a fit for Cespedes on the Nationals. If it happens, it's their problem to figure it out.
  8. Cespedes' agent just followed the Nationals on Twitter
  9. Again, if the Nats work out a trade, who would go? Do they trade Revere? He plays CF and will be their leadoff hitter. Nats don't want Rendon leading off. Werth? Who wants that contract, and a declining aging player? I don't see a fit at all
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 10:22 AM) Jon HeymanVerified account ‏@JonHeyman 3m3 minutes ago Nats reportedly back involved with cespedes. They seemed set in OF, but could trade to open spot. @Ken_Rosenthal on this. Who's gonna take Werth and that terrible contract?
  11. Sign an OF already ‏@chisox2727 41m41 minutes ago Just left a meeting at the Ritz Carlton and passed Cespedes in the lobby! Josh Nelson, Host of SouthSideSox RT'd this. lol. If people wanna know, that's in downtown Chicago.
  12. QUOTE (peavy44 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 11:10 PM) Maybe 4 year range they got big Announcement the Nats at 1045am. It's for a concert.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 08:25 PM) At this point, the Cardinals and Giants and Angels and all those teams we were counting out earlier (including the Rangers and Nationals, who are now apparently back in it)....have to be considered rivals for Fowler and Jackson to a lesser extent. Who are the last four with QO's left on the market? There's Fowler, Desmond, Gallardo and one more, right? Kendrick
  14. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 35s35 seconds ago The #Whitesox still have interest in Yoenis Cespedes, but have not changed stance: Nothing more than 3 years lmao
  15. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 06:42 PM) And if it doesn't, is Hahn to blame? Entire organization is to blame
  16. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 05:28 PM) https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/689952409125306370 As White Sox Dave of Bar Stool said, "Shocked JR didn't pay". Hope people catch the irony there.
  17. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 05:10 PM) Sox beat writers nearly silent today. Both Merkin and Hayes spread new SoxFest info. Hayes had one exchange with a fan about something not related to the Sox. Merkin said "No." That's it. Do you take that as something is up or just simply nothing new to report?
  18. QUOTE (Saufley @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 04:53 PM) If the Sox and Cespedes are close I want to see the deal get closed tonight! When I was in sales I hated to leave the office with a deal sitting on the table. I know these guys can do a deal from home or anywhere but, just saying. I'm the same way. Can't start something until it is finished. QUOTE (Yoenis Cespedes @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 04:54 PM) I'd like to talk with Jose Abreu. Heard he is here. This cracks me up lol.
  19. Well, that's pretty good news Rabbit. Thank you. Looks like options is that hurdle to settle out, hopefully they can figure that out and get him signed within the next couple days.
  20. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 02:28 PM) Best case would be Fowler to Orioles and Gallardo to a team like Houston. That puts the Sox at #26. I can't see anyone giving up a 1st rounder for Desmond or Kendrick at this point. I could see Desmond, but not Kendrick.
  21. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 01:03 PM) 9th highest. Reds lead the way with $14.1m http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/2016-mlb-draft-order/ Thank you. Guys with QO's left are Dexter Fowler, Ian Desmond, Howie Kendrick, and Yovani Gallardo. So with that, Sox could draft as high as 24, correct?
  22. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) J. Cole? What? He was asked a question. Sorry, he quoted the tweet.
  23. Rabbit just bumped this tweet: Brian Bilek ‏@ChiSoxraBBit Brian Bilek Retweeted NoRoleModels I think the #WhiteSox are a top contender for Cespedes and will be in it until the day he signs.
  24. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 01:12 PM) Interestingly enough -- the Rockies just DFA'd Kyle Parker, which could be signalling a move on their part. Perhaps we could be trading for a Rockies OF instead. If he makes it to the AL, I'd love to pick him up.
  25. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 12:26 PM) The White Sox estimated bonus pool for the 2016 draft is $9,477,248. How does that compare to other teams?
