  1. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) I think they will continue to get the best pitcher they can in the draft, and then trade some pitching for hitting at some point. They don't seem to have much of an appetite for HS position players and not sure their is a college position guy that has a ceiling to warrant a selection at 10. IMO, Kyle Lewis, Buddy Reed, Corey Ray all warrant a selection at 10 if they were available.
  2. I'd have no issues if the choice was Whitman. The guy bleeds Orange & Blue.
  3. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 09:37 AM) Uh... yikes. It's a keeper league, with extensions and what not. It's a pretty complex league I'm in. I wasn't going to extend Quintana, I was gonna franchise tag Carraso (but then I acquired Strasburg), and I wanted to sell Matz on his high (I still have the rights to McCullers and Eduardo Rodriguez).
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 09:10 AM) I don't have a rooting interest in the EPL, I just watch for entertainment, but damn do I root against Diego Costa. Everytime Chlesea is on, he complains and complains when another player touches him, yet he will always give cheap shots of his own. He's gotta be the dirtiest player, right? I completely agree about Costa. He is just really annoying on the field. Not to mention he looks like he's 45, not 27. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 10:11 AM) Suarez has been on good behavior ever since the World Cup incident though. Always been a fan of Suarez despite his antics.
  5. Dion Phanuef to the Senators in a massive 9 player trade.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 10:34 PM) That was tough to watch and awesome all at the same time. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 10:36 PM) @davemeltzerWON Remember when that Ric Flair retirement segment was the greatest segment in TV wrestling history? Well, now it's second best. That's some ultra high praise. I think I agree. Totally amazing. Emotional on so many levels. My eyes were watery as it went along. The YES chant at the end had me with all kinds of feels. Like Rowand said, awesome and sad all at the same time. My favorite wrestler of this era retiring way too young because he of concussions
  7. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 09:44 PM) GarPax logic, they already made a trade Dunleavy is healthy You know that's what they're going to say. It's amazing how scared they are to make a deal, either going for it like in past years or blow it up like they should this year.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 09:17 PM) The longer they are bad, the better the chances that they sell some parts for some assets. Trade deadline is in 10 days
  9. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 07:58 PM) It could essentially take an injury from a key player. Or trade Shaw.
  10. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 07:44 PM) The Bulls are so bad. I really hope they don't make the playoffs and somehow get lucky in the lottery.
  11. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 07:03 PM) Yep, I posted a report from TSN about two weeks ago that claimed the Jets were basically going to have to decided on which one they wanted to go long term with, Ladd or Buff. Clearly, they made their decision. I'd love Ladd back on this team. What would it take to get Ladd, Tony?
  12. Traded Carlos Carrasco ($10), Jose Quintana ($8), and Steven Matz (rights) for Dee Gordon ($15)
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 04:05 PM) Read a story today that he hasn't spent a penny of his paychecks from playing football. He's saved it all instead, nearly 50 million. Good for him. Good to see someone finally use/save their money instead of blowing it all.
  14. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 02:00 PM) Jack and Trevathan both would play Jack LB spot under Fangio. I honestly hope the Bears can take Jaylon Smith at 11. He's reportedly going to be back in season and if so would be excellent pick at #11. I think the Bears will trade Bennett and end up with 10-11 draft picks. Some free agents to possibly target: LB Danny Trevathan, DL Malik Jackson, OLB Mike Neal, CB Leonard Johnson, OL Brandon Brooks. I think they get one of the free agent TE's as well: Dwayne Allen or LaDarius Green. Completely agree about Smith. I was in the group of if Smith is there, you take him no matter what, injury or not. The kid is super talented. You draft him and your LB core is an immediate strength if you can manage to sign Trevathan as well. Malik Jackson, Kelse Osemele, Dwayne Allen, Trumaine Johnson, Zach Brown, Rodney McCleod, Tashaun Gipson could be targets as well.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 12:11 PM) He's retiring. Unless of course he's working us but I doubt it. Saw his tweet. If he really is retiring, I will be in tears tonight.
  16. QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 11:18 AM) I'm excited for the off-season as a whole. Bears can do some serious damage if everything breaks right. Give me Trevethon and Kelechi Osemele in FA. (Malik Jackson would be nice as well but I'm not sure they can get all 3.) They'll definitely have enough to spend on all 3 if they want to. They already will have around 58 million in cap space. That's without the likely cuts of Bennett, Bushrod and Rolle. That's another 12 million right there.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 10:13 AM) DB apparently at Raw tonight. Guest appearance or to make some sort of announcement?
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 09:24 AM) Pretty excited about the draft. I'm really excited what the Bears can do in free agency. My top 3 targets are Malik Jackson, Danny Trevathan, and Kelchi Osemele.
  19. Someone posted this on a Bulls forum. Thought I'd share.
  20. LC might not lose another PL game this year. Spanking MC 3-0. Tottenham wins today, they move into 2nd.
