QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Feb 11, 2016 -> 05:51 PM) Chris Cotillo: "Source: Latos turned down offer of $3M + $6M incentives from another club before signing with White Sox." Wow.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 11, 2016 -> 02:42 PM) .674 OPS last year, right? Look at his first half, then look at his 2nd half. Pretty sure he had an OPS above 750 in the 2nd half. He's had 1 bad half in the last 4 years people. Cripes.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 11, 2016 -> 02:34 PM) Jon Heyman @JonHeyman 19s19 seconds ago White sox like current ss favorite Tyler saladino but he's a defensive whiz with versatility to play multiple positions I really do like this. Saladino coming in as a defensive replacement and spot starting is his ideal role imo. Sanchez replacing Lawrie. Shuck replacing Avi in RF. Saladino replacing Melky in LF. Not bad. That's if we sign Desmond and/or don't sign/trade an OF.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 11, 2016 -> 02:27 PM) If they are committed to giving up the draft pick, I'd rather have Desmond than Fowler. Desmond is more likely to be a 3 WAR SS than Fowler is to be a 2-3 WAR OF in my opinion. Sox could still add a different OF via trade as well. They would have a pretty powerful infield with Frazier/Desmond/Lawrie/Abreu That infield is pretty insane power wise. I do agree that I like Desmond more than Fowler. He's had 1 bad half the last 4 years. I trust him more than Fowler

QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Feb 11, 2016 -> 02:12 PM) Jon Heyman @JonHeyman 2m2 minutes ago Chisox are among teams considering Desmond. He'd be good fit there, better than another OF. Will discuss on @MLBNetwork at 6 Sign him and trade a reliever for Desmond Jennings.

Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 1m1 minute ago Sources: #Dodgers trying to trade IF/OF Alex Guerrero. Talking to numerous teams. Fits best with an AL club.

Gallardo signs with Orioles, 3 years, $35 million

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Feb 10, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) You'd really rather have Avi as your starting RF than lose a late 1st round pick? JS is all about draft picks and prospects. Pretty sure he hated the Frazier deal. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 10, 2016 -> 04:36 PM) DB's last match. Seems to suffer a seizure or convulsions at 2 minutes. After Sheamus goes to grab him and put him back in the ring, realizes he's pulling dead weight, stops and they cut the match short. Pretty scary. Very scary. The match at WM vs Bautista and RO, when Bryan got put through the table. I wonder if he had a seizure then too because his body was twitching like it was in this video. -
QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 10, 2016 -> 05:13 PM) If he signs for anywhere close to that, and it's not with the Sox, it's a failure. At that cost, I don't want to hear a thing about the draft pick. It's one pick. Those clamoring about the pick and mention Spencer Adams. Keon Barnum was picked around the same time Adams was too.

GGajewski18 replied to Y2Jimmy0's topic in The Diamond Club
Buster OlneyVerified account @Buster_ESPN It's expected that if and when the Orioles' deal with Yovani Gallardo is finished, it'll be a 3-year deal in the range of $40-$45m -

Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 1m1 minute ago Sources: Fowler possible for #Orioles if they complete Gallardo deal. Would be willing to part with second pick, currently No. 29. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 2m2 minutes ago #Orioles also like free agent Pedro Alvarez and #Reds’ Bruce in addition to Fowler, per sources. Might not have prospects to land Bruce. -
Great signing. Surprised we got him for peanuts. As others have probably said, if he's bad or detrimental to the team, you can just cut him. If he's good and the Sox are bad, he can be a great trade chip. If he's good and the Sox are good, we can maybe talk about an extension or even offering a QO for him. Win-win situation for me.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Feb 10, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) Keith Law says the Dodgers already signed him, just can't announce until July 2 passes. Could be why. Weren't the Braves really high on him?

There is a link of top 30 international prospects, but it was from last year. Is there an updated list for 2016? Sox the favorites for any of them?

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 09:41 PM) Bryan said on ESPN he has brain swelling and a lesion that has been causing seizures that he kept hidden. Yikes Also mentioned that he has 10 documented concussions. Probably has around 15. -

This is the Sox getting creative. Love this move.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 11:46 AM) Kyle Lewis looks great coming off that Cape Cod performance. I can't be the first person to compare him to Justin Upton. Too many similarities. Those small school guys make me nervous though. I agree. I think this is a big year for Lewis coming off his great summer to maintain his current top 10-15 status.

If the Sox were to move, I'd be heartbroken. That said, wherever they moved to, I'd become a fan of that city/team. I can never see myself switching teams just because they moved.
