Really hope the Giants get Stanton. Have the Cardinals miss out and maybe focus on Avi or Abreu.

If they do trade Abreu, I think they should definitely trade Avi. If they trade Avi first, I want them to keep Abreu unless we get a Sale/Q type return for him. Going off this, I think I would trade Avi or Abreu to the Rockies. I know the Rockies have had interest in Abreu in the past. My proposal to the Rockies is Avi for 1B/3B Ryan McMahon and RHP Peter Lambert. In this case, I would keep Abreu and try to extend him with a 4 year/70 million deal. Thoughts?

I've always been in the camp where I would definitely sell high on Avi now rather than wait until the season. However, if the Sox do trade Abreu, trade them both. Sign more stop gaps and flip them at the deadline then let the kids play the 2nd half of the season.

Jose Abreu is gonna be our David Ortiz/Jose Bautista. I think an extension of 4 years/70 million is beneficial for everyone involved. Stick Abreu at DH in his later years and he lengthens that lineup a ton. I get exploring trades, but unless the right deal comes around like a Sale/Q type deal, I want Abreu around for this rebuild to be the captain and a mentor to the young players.

Guerrero is the only one that bothers me that is not protected. I would of DFA'd May for him. No one is gonna take Polo and Peter is a utility player.

No real issues from me. I would of protected Guerrero and Peter as well and got rid of Saladino and Garcia
