  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 07:42 PM) Absolutely rooting like hell for this kid. Same. Still young enough to be a good part of this team.
  2. Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 4m4 minutes ago Bolingbrook, IL Matt Davidson not in the Charlotte lineup tonight. The White Sox won't go with two bench position players available for long.
  3. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 07:31 PM) Matt Davidson had a slam today Call him up and send Avi down. Davidson has done pretty well this year.
  4. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 10:41 AM) I think you could add in a catcher in a deal with the Padres. Jay, Maurer (former Sox target), and Bethancourt or Norris for a package around Fulmer and Engel. Padres need to clear the way for Hedges any way. Trade a #1-2 prospect for a 4th outfielder, reliever, and good defensive catcher? No thanks.
  5. So, Jon Snow and Khaleesi will unite since they find out they are related and battle the WW together.
  6. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 08:39 AM) Avilia is not a bad catcher. Norris is a terrible defensive catcher. Defensively both Sox catchers are playing exactly as advertised. If that's not good enough, why did Hahn sign them? The position of need is starting pitching, centerfield and DH. Morneau might help DH. Jackson would help the defense immeasurably if he recovers. Sox have to show a lot more in the W/L and spot in standings for more trades for "proven veterans" to make any sense. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=...=&players=0 At least look up the stats and metrics before you post garbage. Norris is also a top 5 pitch framer in the league.
  7. How'd I know this was started by you?
  8. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) Is he the one that had 101 goals over the last 2 years, including one year when he played on McDavid's line? Yes
  9. Great inning by Gonzalez. Nice and quick, and let the offense get back in the dugout and stay hot.
  10. All started when Robertson walks Darwin fricken Barney
  11. QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 08:43 PM) I'm out and just wanted to check in on the draft. Can someone explain why PHX did that? To get to the cap floor
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 06:39 PM) Zero first rounders but now three picks in the top 50 I'll still take it. Replenish that farm system.
  13. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 06:38 PM) This makes me sad. Better than getting nothing in return...but really gonna miss Shaw's scrappy play. *Insert Ryan Hartman*
  14. Great fricken trade Stan. 2 top 50 picks for Andrew Shaw. Fantastic.
  15. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) Oh man, having Soupy back to man the PP point would be fun. Getting Soupy on a Richards type deal while trading Shaw for prospects/picks would be really nice. Trading Shaw wouldn't bother me like when they traded Saad last off season. As a 23 year old at the time, I was almost in tears that they traded him lol. EDIT: A 4.5 million offer sheet would cost a team a 1st and 3rd round draft picks.
  16. QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 01:59 PM) If he's asking for 4.5, he might not be able to fetch a 1st. Either way, you'll get assets for him, which I'm fine with. Maybe a 2nd and a 5th?
  17. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 01:41 PM) Mark LazerusVerified account ‏@MarkLazerus Source says Andrew Shaw is asking for at least $4.5 million AAV. Moving him might be more realistic than moving Kruger. FLA a possibility. Mutt's a goner. Came here to post this & I agree. Trade him for a late 1st.
  18. Hawks don't have any scheduled picks tonight. However, they could net a late 1st in my opinion if they trade Shaw. With that said, who do you guys think the Hawks trade? Do they make a big move (Anisomov, Seabrook for example)?
  19. Wizards are prepared to give Noah a max deal of 4 years/120 million. Wow, that is gross. Makes the Robin Lopez deal look like a complete steal if Noah gets this.
  20. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 09:46 AM) It's nice when statistics confirm that a trend you notice isn't just in your head. Anyone think the Sox could put a package together for Lucroy? I know it would have to include Fulmer, but even with him, do the Sox have the pieces to make it work? I think Derek Norris would help too. Decent hitter and really good at pitch framing.
