I think the one thing to make him a better ballplayer who can adjust to situations is to give him more playing time, as he will be getting this year! He would've had even higher stats last year had they brought him in earlier, rather than turning him into a September ballplayer. Crede needs confidence that JM believes in him via that playing time, which he will be getting barring something major happening in spring training...He's going to be good for us this season.

I guess I'm kinda so/so on this. For one, Rogers would be an asset to our rotation; however, not getting him doesn't mean our rotation lacks depth. The signing of Colon was HUGE this season, and I'm thinking Rauch will do a fine job as that #5 slotter. We're going to be good with or without Rogers is what I'm basically saying.

I think that if we do damage in the playoffs, Mark will want to stay, and a contract will be signed during next offseason. With an increase in revenue, KW would be stupid not to give him what he deserves, and MB will take it. MB looks like he WANTS to stay here...He's just trying to get a better offer. That possibly is why he's brought up this whole Cardinals stuff. In reality, I really feel he likes it in Chicago and will stay if he sees success this year and a bright future ahead.
