Nowadays it is always great to have good relief pitchers. They are always needed at the trade deadline so the more we have the better for us

Because we have a bunch of players fighting for jobs the rest of the season, next season and beyond. They want to play well and they don't care about losing to gain draft position for a team they might not be with for the long term

I tell you what this bullpen has a chance to be pretty damn good next year with all the young guys we have

Alex Call is 2-2 with 2 2B, up to .312 in AA

Madrigal when 0-4 but still hasn't struck out. Not sure how many PA he is up to but it is impressive

I really am loving what Rutherford has done. I think he will have 15 HR potential once he is ready to be a major leaguer. He is Christian Yelich to me

Madrigal just needs to go to A+ at this point. I love how he is hitting so many SF's, he has such great bat control

Gonzalez is 2-5 with a home run Rutherford now 3-5 Tied it up 4-4 in the 9th

Power is usually the last thing that comes for a lot of prospects. I thought there was an article a couple months ago that him and Yelich were close and Rutherford gets pointers from him all the time. I could see him being a Yelich type of player when he makes it to the big leagues.

I guess I just want to compete so bad lol. We see glimpses here and there, hopefully with a full year Lopez & Gio will be more consistent next year

We have plenty of young bullpen pieces that are close in the minors, I'm not too worried about it maybe add a guy. The rotation is young with a lot of upside but could also be below average. I would like to add a vet on a 2 or 3 year deal that is a solid 2 or 3 in the rotation, if we aren't competing maybe flip him at the deadline.

I'm not sure what we need to add in the off-season to have a chance to compete next year (I don't think we will anyways). But the line up really doesn't look that bad in reality. C-Omar/Smith, 1B- Abreu, 2B- Moncada, SS- Anderson, 3B- Sanchez (or FA), LF- Jimenez, CF- L. Garcia (or FA), RF- Avi, DH- Davidson/Palka/Nicky (or FA) I think the SP is the big question but if we can add a 3B or CF & Omar keeps hitting close to what he has been the offense will be pretty good. But maybe I am being too optimistic

Rodon is looking more and more like an ace every start. That would be huge for the rebuild
