Its amazing we can score 16 runs one day and can't even get a hit the next.. Sanchez doesn't have great stuff tonight by any means. There has been plenty of hittable pitches

Anybody besides Semien want to make Sanchez work for an out

QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 07:26 PM) Sanchez is incredibly efficient today. Low 60s through 5 innings. Really doesn't help when Alexei swings at the first pitch and pops it up in foul territory. If you are going to swing at the first pitch make sure you at least hit it in play.

Alexei is really helping the pitchers when he swings at the first pitch and pops it up

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 07:20 PM) They cant decide on s*** even with replay. Yeah, seems like it is different every other game. When seeing another play like that they were saying the ball just has to be entering the glove but seems like everything is different

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 07:19 PM) Anyone have an idea what Hawk is insinuating about why the Sox have been losing replay challenges? That MLB is against the White Sox? Wow.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) Victor Martinez is such a great hitter. I am not sure how he got his hands in on that pitch by Danks. Because he has seen Danks enough to know he likes to go inside and get in on your hands. Plus the pitch was only 89 mph.. He needs to deviate from what he usually does against these guys
-
White Sox @ Tigers - WCIU 6:08 PM
Danks just has too much going on at the plate. He needs to quit moving so damn much before the pitch comes
-
White Sox @ Tigers - WCIU 6:08 PM
I guess we are teaching our pitchers to not throw strikes?
-
White Sox @ Tigers - WCIU 6:08 PM
This pitching staff is killing me
-
Chris Sale to start Thu May 22 vs Yankees
Boooooo. Hope it is nothing more then just soreness from throwing so much because of the dumb bullpen and Robin's misuse of said bullpen

Semien
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 10:59 PM) Semien seems to be a better hitter than his .200 average would indicate. Maybe I'm just hoping that's the case but he's a likeable second sacker. I wonder why I like Semien and despise the thought of Beckham returning? Excuse you, .222 average.

Jose Abreu general discussion
If he can learn to lay off the off-speed stuff out of the zone he will be fine. When the count is 0-0, 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-1 he is expecting a fastball and swings no matter what the pitch. Needs to learn to hit his pitch and not the pitchers' pitch. He seems like a determined guy so I am sure he will figure it out as the season goes along. I also think his parents not being in the US yet and Avi's injury has been messing with him

4/20 games
QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 10:30 PM) Next in Line Tommy Hanson, the former Braves and Angels pitcher starting pitcher, made his Charlotte debut. After 3 solid innings (3IP, 0R, 2BB, K) a rough fourth inning made for a less than encouraging start (4IP, 4ER, 4H, 3BB, K, HR). Hanson's progress will continue to be noted as he figures to be one of the next starters in line if an extra arm were to be needed for Chicago. Guess the main thing is see how Hanson progresses start to start. His first start back is bound to have some problems. It will be interesting to see where he is at in the middle of May
