  1. I agree with you but Sox also have a bunch of young talent with potential that haven't been able to get playing time that have been recently added to the system. Thompson/Dalquist/Kelley/Vera/Cespedes/Colas. Hopefully some of these guys hit the ground running.
  2. Kelley "fell" to the second round because he had a deal with the Sox and his reps told people he was going to UT. Could you provide a source one Kelley starting ever fifth day being the knock on him? That's not going to get it done for Texas.
  3. All jokes aside Stone looks outstanding for a guy who will be 74 in less than a month.
  4. Someone said in April. "Robert just gets it. The way he works everyday, he just gets what it takes as opposed to someone like Moncada."
  5. Madrigal should take til he gets two strikes.
  6. Yeah Sox employees have been really cool in my six games. I hear at the Cubs game you have a bunch of seniors yelling at you to wear a mask between sips of your beer.
  7. This isn't directed at you but if you're vaccinated, why does anyone care? Why would I care if other people are wearing masks I am immunized? Who cares if LaRussa, a vaccinated person, is breathing through his nose in a dugout full of vaccinated people? It's so tired hearing about the fans and players wearing masks and how they're wearing them. No one cares. People should worry about themselves.
  8. Is this the mask thread or game thread? Woof. Let's talk about baseball.
  9. He's playing hurt. They need to just put him on the DL.
  10. SS Anderson LF Vaughn 3B Moncada DH Mercedes 1B Collins C Grandal RF Eaton 2B Mendick CF Hamilton
  11. If so, hopefully Garcia has a seat with him and Mendick is at 2nd.
  12. You're not allowed to question Gio around here. He's perfect and trying his best.
  13. His name is Hunter and he did nothing wrong.
  14. This is the new norm. Regardless of COVID. Manfred just used COVID to change the game to make it, in his mind, more appealing to people who don't watch the game. You agree with me that you don't want it so I don't know what the issue is.
  15. They played 9 innings yesterday. They'll play 9 innings tomorrow. So I have no idea what you're talking about it being the same rules everyday. The owners get to charge a full ticket for 7 innings. The players get paid fully for a 7 inning game. I am shocked they agree. What's your source the fans agree? I could make sense of it last year. It makes no sense moving forward. Manfred's trying to make the game more tenable for people who don't watch it.
  16. yeah and what's Tony saying to JR about the outfield behind closed doors? What is he supposed to say about Eaton? He's insignificant and has a bad attitude. There's coach speak and quotes for the media. They're separate from what actually goes on behind closed doors. There's no reason to think the Sox won't bring in an outfielder at this point.
  17. Hopefully Gio can keep being transparent about his struggles after getting his ass handed to him by another shitty team in the division. His emotions out there certainly are transparent and that's what is important.
  18. I don't care if the Sox have an advantage or not I want the game to be played by the same rules every day and no mickey mouse bullshit.
  19. I would rather have Collins in the #4 hole than Hamilton.
  20. Garcia is hitting under .180 in May. That's not riding the hot hand.
  21. Yeah Hendriks is definitely on the table. Especially in game 2. Bummer is probably behind Gio hoping he gets through 5-6 or even. Then it would seem Foster/Marshall are the first out of the pen if Kopech were to only go 4 and the game be close. McRae is first out in the scenario of a blowout.
  22. I am against Garcia being in the lineup. Somehow, he's in it everyday,
  23. Leury has to be in the lineup. Doesn't matter that we was 0-4 yesterday with 3 K's and a nubber to the pitcher. Nevermind Hamilton's had a huge week for the team.
  24. What does that have to do with ESPN's power rankings though?
