  1. Me too. The batting stance is just so bad. I don't understand the thought process with it. He cannot hit anything on either side of the plate. Just go back to what worked in 20-21.
  2. Burger fucked a routine grounder with 2 outs and no runs scored. He then took a step back on a Turner chopper which wasn’t an error but it was a bad play. But hey, he just got 1 of those 6 runs he cost back! Dude can hit. Thankfully there is a DH and Sheets sucks balls, so just play him there. It doesn’t need to be that complicated.
  3. Luis should go back to his old batting stance. This one sucks.
  4. Lol, how am I unchill? I just dont agree with your bonehead take.
  5. Well, this inning is on Burger. That is for sure.
  6. I will take the longer sample size of Moncada being a well above average bat and a very good defender, as opposed to like 2 weeks of Burger being a good bat while also being a well below average defensive 3B. You do you, though.
  7. Not a great one. Many of TAs errors are on balls alot of SS don't even get to though. But he's certainly not a plus defender at SS. All the more reason to not further downgrade the rest of the IF defense.
  8. I have no problem finding ABs for him. But moving Moncada off 3B for Burger is laughable.
  9. Aaaaaaand there is another example. Dude jsut isnt an everyday quality defensive 3B
  10. I was referring to his defense, not offense. While 4 games seems a bit high, I am guessing one of those games you are counting is vs. the Cubs where if he didn't boot a routine grounder in a huge spot, his extra innings heroics wouldn't have been needed. I like Jake and all. I agree they need to find a way to get him into the lineup. I am not opposed to trying him at 2B, though it'd be ugly. I just don't see the Sox moving Moncada to 2B to get Jake into the lineup.
  11. I think this is debatable. Burger has looked passable at best at 3B. He's not good over there at all.
  12. Yoan is 100% a player you can build around. He looks awful right now because he's injured. Eloy....maybe. Dude can't stay healthy. But if he can, he'd be plenty fine as a DH masher on a contender.
  13. Gavin Sheets lives on. Can't wait to get that bum off this roster.
  14. Moncada was a poor 2B and is a very good 3B. I think its fair to assume he'll be worse than both of those guys at 2B, yes. Certainly Harrison.
  15. Sox defense already sucks. Further downgrading 2 defensive positions isn't the answer to what ails the Sox.
  16. This. Leury has been grossly overused the last couple seasons, but injuries will do that. He's just been healthy, something he generally hasn't been in the past. $5M AAV is chump change, and while it may be an overpay of $1-2M, its really fairly insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Could those dollars have been better deployed? Yeah, sure. But its really not that big of a deal. None of this is to say that Leury hasn't been awful. He has been. But he's a fine back of the bench utility player on a contender. He just hasn't been used that way because the FO didn't sign a capable 2B. He's only played 35 innings in the OF this season, so while you could add not signing a RF into that comment, it doesn't hold that true YTD 2022. I think (know) Larussa loves him, which is really the problem.
  17. Mendick, Vaughn 1B, Robert, Abreu DH, Burger 3B, Pollock, Grandal, Engel, Harrison
  18. It’s a fine lineup but anything that has Danny Mendick batting lead off is hard for me to call the best lineup of the year.
  19. Because he’s an elite 3B. Moncada isn’t moving to 2B. This isn’t a video game.
  20. Huh? McGuire isn't in the lineup and Burger and Pollock are.
