  1. I was going to make this thread yesterday but I thought the Mets are a bad trade fit for the Sox.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 12:35 PM) He's immature. He's starting a day game. If he partied last night, he's not ready for AA at his age. I'm not commenting on this any more than that. If you disagree, feel free. Here is a good example of someone making a big deal out of nothing
  3. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/david-fi...tor-1202399978/ David Fincher is directing the World War Z sequel
  4. Its official that Baseball Tonight is a weekly show?
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 04:18 PM) Saw someone said scouts have Kendall with 30 hit tool I wasn't too high on him. I thought that he was getting some extra love because he plays for Vanderbilt but after reading that some scouts and teams have his hit tool at 30, I definitely do not want him anywhere near the Sox.
  6. I still don't understand how people are blindly in love with Seth Beer.
  7. QUOTE (turnin' two @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 03:42 PM) Seen him play a bunch? Not a lot outside of what's online but I do have common sense. And that says a 19 year old who already 205lbs, is probably not done filling out yet and he'll probably lose a step or two once his body finishes maturing. So while he might be able to play center field now, he's probably a right fielder in the bigs.
  8. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) 2020 C - Collins 1B - ? 2B - Moncada SS - Anderson 3B - ? LF - ? CF - Robert RF - ? DH - ? Starting 5 Possibilities: Rodon, Kopech, Lopez, Giolito, Fulmer, Hansen, Dunning, Stephens, Adams Trades coming, drafts coming, free agents coming, yay. Robert will be a corner guy in the bigs
  9. QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 11:52 AM) I would love to see Holland or MiGo moved to a team like the dbacks for pick #68 and an interesting lotto ticket like Marcus Wilson. of the teams that have picks that might consider trading them i would say there are four maybe five, if the Rockies really pull ahead. pick 36 - Marlins - $1,888,800 pick 68 - Dbacks - $880,100 pick 70 - Rockies - $837,300 pick 74 - Orioles - $779,500 pick 75 - Astros - $767,400 Great idea. I am curious to see how they operate this draft
  10. Unless a miracle happens in the next week, it looks like we will have another Writer's Strike. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/writers-...ion-1202393874/ Curious to see how this will affect some of the big films in development, especially the DC, Marvel and Star Wars film. My friend who works in Paramount said that a lot of scripts have been turned in 'half baked'
  11. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 09:38 AM) He isn't a baseball guy, so he doesn't have much to add in that regard. How many PBP guys are baseball guys? And Bennetti did a lot of work in the minors as a broadcaster and that is a tough job because the people in that role are essentially the team's PR person. I would say that he's pretty qualified.
  12. I wake up everyday and thank God/Allah/Xenu for the Sox not signing Alex Gordon
  13. QUOTE (turnin' two @ Apr 23, 2017 -> 04:52 PM) Plus, no one would care. At all. Except the guy who called it, I would imagine.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2017 -> 08:25 PM) As a few on here predicted, Franklin Perez is blowing up for Astros. Tucker off to huge start also I don't want to be the guy that reminds everyone that he called for the Sox to demand Perez in any trade involving Q with the Astros as far back as the Winter Meetings. I'd hate to be that guy.
  15. I hope no one here was stupid enough to think that every prospect (especially the ones acquired in the past year) was going to breeze through the system without any experiencing any hiccups.
  16. Trying to find video of Adam Haseley
  17. Moncada is BLAZING hot at the plate.
  18. QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 19, 2017 -> 07:08 PM) Jose having a nice game, offensively and defensively. Seeing the ball well on both sides of the field. Abreu has been making contact when he gets his pitch, he's just been having some bad luck. He's one of the leaders in strike zone contact so far. He's been looking frustrated at the plate but I expect to see him normalize real soon, especially as the weather heats up
  19. He may not be getting anything to hit, the Athletic said something to that affect in their report from WS
  20. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Apr 19, 2017 -> 09:34 AM) Different since 2012? I have my doubts When is the last time the White Sox took a high school position player and successfully got him to the major leagues? Yes, it's almost an entirely different development staff and scouting department since then. Can't doubt fact.

  23. You could argue that the Sox were/are prepared to go all in on Robert since they aren't attached to any of the top (according to BA) J2 guys.
